C'mon now 81, just because a few people on this board got shut out and maybe 100 that never post came out from hiding to complain does not make this a scandal.....
i never said scandal.
i said tickets.com system is shitty.
the random virtual waiting room is bogus. some people get thru, buy 18 tickets....others get shut out from buying a single.81 is now off the air

I think there is a scandel about Dimi and shows. I think Eddie said keep this guy out!! :nono: :nono:0 -
RMWatson...I think you are hilarious. My point I was sacrastically trying to make...try to follow as I know this might be tough for you.....It would be nice to have real music fans, real PJ fans, etc get to enjoy the show. From my POV it looks like most just got tixs to resell. Maybe Im wrong but its my POV. Dont pick apart a few words and be rude. You didnt have anything intelligent to add to the post so go milk your cat.
I think everyone is tired of hearing about the ticket crap but wanted to post my thoughts/info. Ticket sales will never be perfect or fair but this one just seemed odd.
Enough said, Im done with this subject and appreciate the feedback.0 -

It's too bad that you bought tickets from stubhub so early. If you'd waited you would have had more options and get a better deal.Fixer_1976 wrote:I am sure everybody is tired of reading about ticket complaints for Wrigley but felt this needed to be posted. If I am being redundant please let me know I will end the thread ASAP.
While I am just as dissapointed that the real fans (me included) didnt win or earn tickets for the show I understand that there isnt a perfect way for tickets to be distributed. No matter what happens someone will be unhappy or feel slighted. Thats life I guess.
The two things I found interesting and a bit odd were the following....
1. Tickets.com listed that they would only sell two tickets per household or credit card. How then is Stubhub, VividSeats, Ebay, Etc selling seats of 3, 4, 6 or 8?
2. I am hoping to attend the Wrigley show and decided to pay the riduculous prices that these tickets are going for on Stubhub but was told I could not buy just two tickets and needed to buy the whole lot ( either 3, 4 or 8 tickets ). While I found this odd as Tickets.com listed only two tickets per household or CC would be approved.
I called and spoke to a sales rep @ Stubhub who told me I had to purchase the whole lot of tickets and could not break them up. When I asked how someone could have three tickets or more to sell in the same section and row she said they had companies or business partners buy these tickets just for resell.
While I found that odd, I also found it odd that Tickets.com has a Stubhub link right on the front page of there site that you can purchase tickets. I asked the sales rep what there cut is and she said Stubhub gets 10% from individual resellers and 15% from their business partners. How the hell is this legal?
The band doesnt get this $. Does Tickets.com not make enough $ off of the originbal sale price that they need to have their business partners some how get the majority of the tickets and just resell them for ridiculous prices?
I apolagize for being redunant if this has already been posted but find the whole thing a scam. Noone likes a complainer but this just seems wrong. If I am off base here or just dead wrong? With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -
Real fans, fake fans, non fans ... everyone has the same right to get a ticket.Fixer_1976 wrote:RMWatson...I think you are hilarious. You dont get it either. If your not a music fan or a pj fan why get tickets? You missed the point...wish I had tim to explain but it might make your head explode.0

This I will agree with. That waiting room was bullshit. I got through 10 times in 15 minutes after 10:28am. At the same time, tons of people were saying at the same time that they were still stuck in the waiting room, and that they never got out of the waiting room at all. Why was I able to get in with ease over and over again, and others were locked out? Something's broken.81 wrote:ofthegirl99 wrote:81 wrote:

No, I didn't miss the point at all (and thanks for the vote of confidence in my mental capacity  ). This "true fan" business (which I am one of too) is nonsense when it comes to the ticket buying discussion. True fans aren't more important than anyone else on the free market. And lots and lots of people who aren't true fans go to shows, especially if it's at Wrigley. I don't believe that they have less of a right to tickets than the biggest PJ fan in the world.Fixer_1976 wrote:You dont get it either. If your not a music fan or a pj fan why get tickets? PJ Soul...relax...relax...relax. You continue to miss the point. I wish all PJ or music fans could of gotten tickets to the Wrigley show. My point again for the last time...its too bad scalpers or people with zero interest in music, pj, etc got so many of the tickets and are now selling them for ridiculous prices. Thats my point.
Dont look for a reason to complain...read the posts and reply intelligently. All good Soul...0 -
I am relaxed. I'm just talking with you. I'm not one to get riled - I just discuss without taking it personally.Fixer_1976 wrote:PJ Soul...relax...relax...relax. You continue to miss the point. And I was just focusing on the true fan thing that you brought up. Of course scalpers suck shit. That point did not escape me. We all know that. Of course it should be illegal for ticket sellers and ticket resellers to be essentially the same company. But for some reason this is still allowed to go on - god knows why. I think the politicians are getting kick backs or something, frankly. I truly think there is something really shady going on where we can't see it. Of course, what keeps making it possible is people buying tickets from the scalpers and resellers.... This has been happening for well over a decade. Thanks to technology, the ease with which a ticket can be transferred has allowed many (if not most) tickets to find their true market value. There will continue to be growing pains until we accept that auctions (or at least higher ticket prices) will be pretty much the norm going forward for popular shows. You can lament it all you want, but there's nothing that can be done about it for a variety of reasons.
What's interesting is that there is another side to this. Over the past four or five years, I can count on one hand the number of baseball games I've paid at or above face value for tickets. You can find below face tickets in the days leading up to a game for almost every park. Hell, I went to Opening Day at Fenway last year for 2/3 face.0 -

Describes my situation exactly.
I read earlier today about someone who gets 18 tickets no problem.... I was looking for 1 ticket and I never even got the chance to buy.
Sounds like a shitty system to me.Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.0 -
