Will there be a video screen at Wrigley?

Just looking at videos of all the bands that have played there, do you think PJ will let the big video screen be on? They never seem to be keen on it.

There are no 'house video screens' at Wrigley. No jumbotron, nothing. Hence Wrigley being Wrigley. If you have never been to Wrigley for an MLB game and are a fan of that sort of thing, I would suggest it.
Bands who have played Wrigley, have supplied their own video screens and this again would have to be the case.

I don't see them using the massive screen behind the band setup that Springsteen used. Doesn't really seem their style. This is a new adventure though so who knows?Download the unofficial Pearl Jam Stat Tracker app for iPhone/iPad. It's FREE.

With all the money the band is making on PJ warm up suits, onesies and thongs (or whatever) you'd figure they could afford a huge screen.I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

Maybe they'll run a feed through those little TV screens they have mounted throughout the 200 sections. Or do they not have those little TV screens anymore like they did in the 90's?
That would be hilarious seeing how Eddie would look just as small on those as he does from the 200's. would be cool if they had the feed on the screens in the beer lines though. I don't plan on leaving my spot in GA for anything however.

Since they're presumably sharing the stage construction responsibility/costs with the Jason Aldean concert, I'd assume there will be screens, especially with how far out the majority of the fans will be from the stage. I know PJ doesn't use them in their arena shows, but when they play outdoor shed amphitheaters, the house screens for the people on the lawn are used, and when they play festivals, the fest's screens are used--I saw both Bonnaroo and MIA, and they were on the screens at both. In fact, at MIA, they went beyond just appearing on the main rectangular jumbotron screens, and actually had their own graphics and video to use on the expanded "wing" screens that were part of Jay-Z's set the night before (PJ and Jay-Z were the only acts all weekend to use the wing-shaped extensions).
If I had to guess, I'd say they won't use a screen on the back wall of the stage (they usually have designed backdrops, like the Japanese watercolor from 2008 or the "PJ" amp stacks from 2011-12), but they will take advantage of screens on either side of the stage. I've even seen some bands in stadium concerts put up a low screen behind the soundboard tent for the people at home plate (not too tall to block the stage view, but an aid in close-ups).0 -
Well I would love it if they'd use a screen!

They had screens on the side stage for other Wrigley shows. Not huge, but large enough to see what's going on.0 -
I'm sure there will be screens.
What I'm really hoping for is Jason Aldean's lighting rig. Anything he tours with will be way better than PJ's now 7 year old rig.0 -

They used big screens on the Aussie tour in 2009. Pretty sure places like the Adelaide Oval don't have their own screens too.Manchester 04.06.00, Leeds 25.08.06, Wembley 18.06.07, Dusseldorf 21.06.07, Shepherds Bush 11.08.09, Manchester 17.08.09, Adelaide 17.11.09, Melbourne 20.11.09, Sydney 22.11.09, Brisbane 25.11.09, MSG1 20.05.10, MSG2 21.05.10, Dublin 22.06.10, Belfast 23.06.10, London 25.06.10, Long Beach 06.07.11 (EV), Los Angeles 08.07.11 (EV), Toronto 11.09.11, Toronto 12.09.11, Ottawa 14.09.11, Hamilton 14.09.11, Manchester 20.06.12, Manchester 21.06.12, Amsterdam 26.06.2012, Amsterdam 27.06.2012, Berlin 04.07.12, Berlin 05.07.12, Stockholm 07.07.12, Oslo 09.07.12, Copenhagen 10.07.12, Manchester 28.07.12 (EV), Brooklyn 18.10.13, Brooklyn 19.10.13, Philly 21.10.13, Philly 22.10.13, San Diego 21.11.13, LA 23.11.13, LA 24.11.13, Oakland 26.11.13, Portland 29.11.13, Spokane 30.11.13, Calgary 02.12.13, Vancouver 04.12.13, Seattle 06.12.13, Trieste 22.06.14, Vienna 25.06.14, Berlin 26.06.14, Stockholm 28.06.14, Leeds 08.07.14, Philly 28.04.16, Philly 28.04.16, MSG1 01.05.16, MSG2 02.05.160
