doors open 2 hrs early....@ 5:30

is that normal? I never paid much attention as i am usually tailgating in the parking lot...

2 hours seems like a long time with no opening band....

it got me wondering if that was an indication that something could start earlier than 7:30?

    sometimes is earlier than that..has to do with safety,so people get in the venue with slow rythm..
    control the entrance,have time to search bags etc..
    can u imagine 40000 to get in all together last minutes?

    Wrigley typically opens a few hours before first pitch for baseball games. 2 hours before show is not a suprise at wrigley. You must factor a few things into the timing of the gate opening. Merchandise sales, BEER sales, beer sales, and some beer will be sold. Wrigly is a 40K seat beer garden.
