lets not overlook that the 98 tour was the first time most of us (especially midwest) saw no code as well..The euros got no code but only a few east coast US dates..so basically a no code/yield US tour....wont find better sets...
i hadnt seen the band since 95 when I went to deer creek..the band and I were in our primes.. :fp:
First page bump. Come on people! Let's make this happen!

I was lucky enough to score tickets to see them in 1996 at Savage Hall in Toledo, Ohio. It's an underrated show in my opinion. Check out the boot if you get a chance. It was great to hear the No Code tunes in their earliest form.
It was also the first time I ever sat on Stone's side. He was duck walking all over the stage that night !

It is funny someone mentioned Toledo 1996. That was my first show and while it was pretty good, the shows I saw in 98 (Alpine Valley, Chicago, Indy) solidified a now 17 year road trip across the US seeing them play.

Saw a few shows on the '98 tour, and they were fantastic. That being said, I think I'd almost rather see the '96 shows get released.
10/2/96 - Hartford, CT - First PJ show after years of waiting. I've got a fan recording of that one but man would I kill to have a SB recording. Been to 25 shows since, but this one and whatever one I went to last (currently Boston 2010) always seem to stick out the most. Oh and I remember paying $150 for 2 tickets, which had a face value of around $60 I believe. Totally worth it.
That and all the other shows from the 1996 tour showcased a very unique time in the bands life. I'd love to see these shows released, and I'd love to see some sort of documentary about No Code and this tour that followed. It wasn't really even touched upon in PJ20, which left me feeling a bit unfulfilled after I saw it.
Anyways, opinion shared... for what it's worth.
