No, it's the language that was used. because there is no defined time, it could technically be 1 second. I didn't pick it, she never said what I'm getting in to....and all of a sudden I'm wrapped in to a month long bet that I never agreed to.... :fp: 30 days? Why not a year? :roll:

I keep waiting for mca47 to get to the punchline and tell us he's joking. He doesn't strike me as a punkass. He is admittedly drunk and high, maybe he's joking. But if he's for real, it's probably the weakest thing I've seen on here. Welching on bets is something I have zero respect for. If this were a money thing and Mamasan were assuming a dollar amount it would be one thing, but just a silly bet over changing an avatar. If you didn't agree with the language of the bet, you should have said something before you lost.

Maybe my last post was a little too harsh over some silly message board bet, but that is the way I was raised. A bet is like your word. Unless you make it with a casino you're not forced to keep your word, but refusing to do so says something about your character. At least so I was told by my dad. He would slap me upside the head if I were mca right now. It's the reason I shaved my head in middle school after I made a half sarcastic bet with a friend in front of my dad where I said I would do just that. Since my friend held me to it, so did my dad, because I made the bet. He said he could do it for me or I could, so I did. And I looked like an idiot. The moral of the story was don't make bets you don't intend to pay. He sort of drummed it in my head that it was a measure of character, just like paying your debts and stuff like that. This isn't serious or anything like that, it's just a joking little thing, but to me the lower the stakes, the more it says about the person who refuses to honor it. Why wouldn't you just change your avatar? I'll change mine to something stupid right now, I'll make it the damn Bears logo. Assuming I can, I've been trying to change it to a gif of Korean Jesus for a while now and it won't work.

But like I said, that's just the way I was raised, and my dad's own moral lesson to me. Maybe that's not how everybody else thinks. I don't mean to get all serious in what was supposed to be all in good fun, but due to my upbringing it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Mainly because I like mca and it's a little disappointing to see him acting like that. I'm still just hoping he's joking, but the punchline should have come about an hour ago.
