14 hrs and 26 minutes. Could maybe catch a Pirates game or an Indians game as well. Hmmmm

Anyone thinking of driving from the east coast?

    I haven't looked at flights out of Bradley yet. That airport sucks. Right In between Boston and Ny.

    If you live near a major city, fly! I make a 14-15 hour drive from MI to NC once or twice per year, and it is draining. The day is shot, and you feel hung over the next day.

    To me, unless airfare is absurd, it is worth the extra money to save the back-ache and mental fatigue.

    That's not bad at all. Like going to Montreal for me. I'd probably want poke my eyes out towards the end of PA.

    LaGuardia is by far the cheapest to Chi from CT. I've checked Bradley, White Plains, Newburgh, Boston, everywhere. $167 RT but the hammer you on your carry on.

    likely driving from Winnipeg. Unfortunately current (only options) to Chicago is through Air Canada / codeshare with United. $680 return.

    On that note.. anyone know why I can catch a flight to another city connecting through Chicago, Minneapolis or Denver cheaper than just to the connecting hub?

    For this trip I can get to Milwaukee or Memphis connecting through Chicago for $100 less than if I booked only to Chicago??? :fp:

    What about Amtrak? We took Amtrak from Syracuse to Chi for Lolla - it goes overnight, you sleep on the train instead of worrying about dealing with a car. Public transpo in Chi is decent. Then you don't have to worry about the expense of parking.

    Drove there for the '98 and Vic Theater shows, and flew there for the '09 shows.

    Undecided for the '13 show.

    I'm renting a fuel efficient car and driving, it'll save the wear and tear on my car and come out the same being cheaper on gas... Going to the london show first. Unfortunately, it's mlb all star week so no games monday-friday i think.
