  • It's all about the money folks. This band is very mainstream and commercialized. Do you think this would have happened years ago when "the band" cared about the fans, not a bunch of people in an office looking out for the all mighty dollar. This band just cares about money nowadays.

Sure to ahead jump on me for the comment but its reality.

What would they say if years ago their own fan club couldn't get a ticket through their own fan club. Seems silly to me.

    Bingo!!!!

Thanks for agreeing with my thinking, I see it as common sense. Must be the Canadian in me.

I honestly think the band cares about the fans and the 10c does as well... they changed the system and it works against me because I sit in front of a computer all day but the guy or gal with a job with no computer access is loving it. The tide has changed is all....

Seniority is important but new fans can be just as big a fan as old fans and deserve a chance as well.

I was hoping Wrigley would be a huge 10c show with thousands of tickets, I was wrong. Of the 4 people I know personally we all got shout out. So we can't be glad 2 of us got in and we can all go. We're all scrambling now...

Maybe 10c needs a system where 65% of the tickets sold are based on senority and 35% on random luck.

Weight it for long standing members but give others a chance as well.

There is no perfect system. This system got rid of everyone racing to the computer hoping to get in fast. That's all it's done. Guys like me who always got tix, well we're not now.

Only reason 10c changed ticket process....Was because they knew they would be losing 10c members....Its all about the money....

Everybody needs to relax! Just because the band is trying to be fair and give an equal opportunity to all their fans, new and old, does not make them money hungry or sell outs!

Ive been a fan since about 2000 but not a fan club member until 2008 I believe. I had to travel to Newark last time to get 10C tix, which im not complaining about, had an awesome time, but i should get an equal opportunity for shows in Boston, New York, and Chicago just as much as everyone else.

They changed it because of the constant complaints about the old system, deservedly so. No system is perfect, a lot of old timers were going to get shut out the old way too. And you can't compare trying to get tickets to this show to trying to get tickets to any normal show, the demand was off the charts.

Could you clarify your thinking, because 10c members have always been shut out when the demand is greater than the # of tickets available.

Of course I did :D , but I wasnt calling the band greedy and money hungry after I was shut out in Boston and New York last time!

  • surprisingly enough, i'm glad i got shut out. i was really trying to make it a point this year to get my shit together by working and getting out of debt and not do any traveling or shows, but then this announcement came and who could pass up an evening with pj general admission. gave me flashbacks to euro tour 06, got really excited. now getting shut out, it's really easy to pass on it which helps me out big time. so thanks 10c for the munson, you save me mucho dinero.
if you think what I believe is stupid, bizarre, ridiculous or outrageous.....it's ok, I think I had a brain tumor when I wrote that.

The 10c took the easiest way out possible on the 10c ticket process....Instead actually spending some of that money we spend for our 10c membershipis..They did this lottery....Just to save money....

This seems to be the fairest way...Since fans don't have to be at computer certarin time to purcase tickets...Just be nice to know how many tickets was available.....Which I guess is like roswell top secert information...

Try traveling from northern Canada to see the band. It takes half a year of planning, I don't have the luxury of living on the east coast where I could see the band on an almost yearly basis.
3000km from the nearest possible show, holding out hope for a ten club show in tuktoyaktuk NWT, canada
  • 410XXX WON!! Lower Bowl Reserve, I buddy of mine is a little high up in the fours and got PIT!!! THAT'S WHERE I WILL BE!!! This is why its called a lottery - not so the may with the lowest # gets in no matter what - You can be just as big of a fan of PJ if you joined last week as the first guy in - some people just don't get online or join in the club. Ten club has been awesome - and the ticket process is just fine the way it is.

WRONG!!! Your not just as big of a fan if you just joined compared to those who haev been spending money and time on this fan club for as long as some of us have... that's the point the process is not fine when loyal long time consumers are treated the same as some yutz who just joined

  • I got shut out of London and so did most of my friends. (my number is 228xxx) I'm pissed that so many Canadians got shut out of the London show BUT I don't think it's necessarily the fanclubs fault. I know that the Budweiser Gardens only holds 10,200 people and that TM/Livenation dictates how many tickets 10C will have to sell. I'm guessing the allotment changed this time around (got lower).

That said I'm sure they can program the computer that chooses who wins to prioritize based on geography and whether or not the show is their ONLY choice!
I KNOW they can do that because they've held lotteries in other cities (ie. HOB Chicago) where you could only enter if you lived within a certain distance from the venue. I think that should have been the case with London since the venue is so much smaller than Wrigley.
