Huge flaw in the ticket system

Make sure you have enough room on your credit card if you cancel your order of tickets in order to prioritize. Also why do I need to cancel my order in order to modify it? Shouldn't I just be able to remove shows or change the order withotu cancelling the whole thing?

Except this isn't a complaint about the actual drawing selection but what happens before that. If I want to change the order of shows, I have to cancel my whole order and start again. If 10c has a hold for te full amount, I have to be sure that I have the exact amount of the new order otherwise my card gets declined and I might lose out on a chance to request because the original hold hasn't been taken off yet

I would classify that as a minor flaw in the new ticket system.

yes,you need to be careful, cos you need to cancel the whole as you said and then again to put new order..
and need to check how much money your card has..
the good thing is you have a week to think of it and choose the best for you

Can you contact your bank to cancel the hold on the first charge?

9 times out of 10 the bank will need voice authorization from the merchant. if 10c drops the hold per the cardholder's request, you might get dropped from the lottery in return.

You could probably call your cc company after you cancel the existing order and get the hold removed faster, and then reorder the tickets... I don't think I'd call this a flaw in the ticket system. Not having enough room on a credit card to fuck around with ticket purchases feels more like a huge flaw in the economy and our dependence on credit. ;) But I know what you mean. My reaction is not to blame the system, but, rather, to change my spending habits so that I don't have a big balance on my card just in case a tour is announced. But a solution might be to just make sure you enter at the very beginning of the draw, so if you do want to change your order, you have time to cancel the order and for authorization to drop from your card and still reenter the draw. Really just a matter of timing.

    Yea, sorry.

I should have prefaced my reply with

"I don't give a flying fuck about this specific flaw however......

That is exactly what the cc company said. They needed the merchant to call in. I tried calling them. Luckily I had a backup card to use.

The ability to modify our picks before the draw would be much appreciated. As someone who has flip-flopped on my picks, I didn't like cancelling, then re-entering my CC info. Just a small gripe, and I can live if it isn't changed.

Only a total douche quotes himself.

The lottery is over. I now have 2 opinions on the new ticketing system.

    1) I was a "loser" for Chicago tickets so I think the new ticketing system blows harder than a
    $5 hooker with no teeth.

    2) I was a "winner" for London tickets so I think the new ticketing system is the greatest thing
since I got a blowjob from a $5 hooker with no teeth.

So, I guess I am still undecided about how I feel about the new ticketing system.
Maybe I will have a better idea after the next lottery.

I think a great deal of those who "lost" for both shows this time around will have
a better idea of how they feel as well.

Has this flaw been addressed? Looking at the FAQ, didn't notice this before...

"Q. How much money will be authorized on my credit card?

A: Members entering a drawing will have a $1 authorization held on their cards no matter how many shows are entered for. If selected for any shows during the drawing, this $1 authorization will become a final sale charge totaling the sum of the ticket prices of all the shows drawn for. If not selected, the $1 authorization will be canceled and released back to your card."

If you have concerns about the "double hold," just wait until the last minute when you are sure you know the order of your priority.

This isn't meant in a negative way, but more as an observation.
