Mike really gets into the solo and Ed signals to Matt, Jeff and Stone to extend it out so Mike can continue while the others watch. After 'Bushleaguer,' Ed asks, "Think we're being too hard on him?" The crowd yells, "No" and Ed says, "I don't either." Ed requests his lyric book, leading to a lovely 'Sleight Of Hand.' 'Better Man' has a full 'Save It For Later' tag. Upon returning for the second encore, Ed says that his blue SG is named "Rebecca," and then says it isn't but he has a friend named Rebecca who is there and he wanted her to hear her name. Then he says it will be called "Rebecca" from then on. 'Throw Your Arms Around Me' is just Ed and Boom playing. Solid show with a good vibe between PJ and the crowd.

At the start of PJ's set, Ed takes the stage grinning and wearing a heavy jacket on this terribly hot day. Immediately after 'Act of Love,' the jacket is gone. The show is paused briefly after 'Last Exit' to "get everybody up" and everyone is encouraged to "take two steps back." A surprise song, R.E.M.'s 'Talk About the Passion,' is played during the first encore.

Ed drank a lot of wine that night (surprise, surprise) and I always crack up when I hear him say "dedinicating" during the evacuation intro.

...don't spend too much time looking for the 2003 Cincinnati show...it was rained out.

I have them all from 2003 now thanks to great folks in this thread and elsewhere. I was very dissapointed to find out that #53 - Cincinnati, 06-19-2003 was canceled. I have all 72 though.

notes: Incredible amounts of stagediving at this show cause Jeff to be concerned for his pedals and he warns the crowd to be careful of the equipment. Ed also expresses some distress: "These heads you see up here ... they're human. They break. If you wanna break someone's head, maybe you should do it with your head and not your boots, you pussies!" 'Deep' is introduced as "a four-letter word called 'Deep.'" Ed's intro to 'Alive': "And maybe, what I think of this song is a world you would be in on MTV or something. No, listen, maybe it feels a little weird for me, cause I am a protector of this song as well, cause it's like as you know, your life. So I hope you listen to it in the right way, and I think live is probably the way." During a short 'Sympathy for the Devil' jam, Ed attempts to cool down the crowd by calling it the 'Waterpouring Song' and pours water on the crowd. With the crowd yelling for 'Hunger Strike,' Ed asks if there is a "political strike going on in Holland cuz everywhere we go we hear people yelling about a hunger strike." He later treats the crowd to a short version of 'Hunger Strike' saying, "I can't wait to tell Chris about that") and plays a little drum solo before 'Alone.' Ed tells the crowd he has a new tattoo and now he's a "... walking piece of art. I used to be just a loser." He says he really wants to jump in the crowd but is concerned people will grab his sore, tattooed leg. A super show.

I dont think you need to actually register to download. I could be wrong but I thought you could just click the links and it would take you to megaupload or sendspace.
