I don't think I've seen this suggested, but if they are going with the prioritized lottery system, what they have suggested is backward. The way it should be done:

    1) Put everyone who's requested any tickets in a "hat" (hopefully, they aren't ACTUALLY doing this, but I have to be honest, I would not be surprised. :D )
    2) Pick a name, give them their 1st pick, if that allotment's gone, give them their 2nd, so on and so forth until that person has been given a pair or has exhausted their requested shows. But only ONE pair and stop.
    3) Once everyone has gone once, put anyone who has any of their priorities still left back in a hat and start picking again
    4) Continue process until all tix are gone, or everyone's order has been gone through

The way they are suggesting now, if you pick NYC2 #1, you are unlikely to get NYC1 (or vice versa, just using NYC as an example), Boston, Hartford, or anywhere else with high demand. So, if you miss out on your #1, you are SoL because there are probably more folks than tix for each of those "popular" shows. They are putting all NYC1 Priority 1's in a hat, and if any are left over, those that missed their other first options and put this as #2 get put in a hat - well, that's not going to do you a whole lot of good if they're already gone to the folks that put it as their priority 1.

The way I've just suggested, if you get picked number 1,227, you still have a chance at your 2nd option b/c it doesn't matter if 50,000 people picked it as their 1st. It just matters that you got randomly selected before them. (But you don't get your 2nd priority if your 1st is available unless everyone's had a turn and it's still available - to those that didn't understand what I wrote and think I'm suggesting if you get picked first, you get all your shows. If that's you - read the suggestion again. If you still don't understand, please consult a 4th grader. It's basically a "draft" with random ordering. You only get 1 "pick" then everyone else gets a turn, then if anything's left, you get a 2nd draw).
Good suggestion! Prioritises giving everyone a ticket over giving someone mutliple tickets. I think that sounds fair. I'd be bummed if I heard someone got two tickets and I didn't get any. You could also incorporate a "maximum number of tickets" as mentioned elsewhere, so you only get to participate in a certain number of rounds.

This should be pretty easy to implement too, I would think.

P.S. You should send this suggestion to 10C. I guess you put in on the feedback form, but will they really read it?

Thanks. I did. But, yeah. Who knows if they're really reading any of it?
