........yet another 90's-era Canadian band has reunited. They just toured not long ago and are maybe working on new stuff. New song called We Got The Love you can get from their website. Awesome track. and guess what I noticed on ebay just now? Their first EP, which is incredibly rare on cd as far as I know, on BLUE VINYL. For CHEAP.
Maybe it's a bootleg. I don't know. but the artwork looks pretty authentic from what I can tell.

Funny you should mention the Smalls. I was out record shopping today and picked up used copies of To Each a Zone and Waste & Tragedy. I used to own these albums years ago, but got rid of them somewhere along the way as my musical tastes changed. I came of age during the glory years of Canadian alt-rock in the 90s, and lately I've been rediscovering old albums and bands that I haven't listened to in ages; bands like the Smalls, 13 Engines, hHead, the Inbreds, Thrush Hermit, The Grapes of Wrath, 54-40, Change of Heart, Skydiggers, the Odds, Weeping Tile, Doughboys, and the Bourbon Tabernacle Choir...just to name a few. The 90s was such a wonderful time to be a music fan in this country. The scene was exploding, and there were so many ridiculously amazing bands. Not that there aren't great bands today. But I've always found that the music you grew up with is always the stuff that you treasure the most.
It seems like a lot of 90s-era CanRock bands are reuniting these days. The Headstones are currently working on a new record, as are The Tea Party and The Grapes of Wrath. It'll be great to see all these bands touring again with new material."I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

so far 3 tracks released:
Blossom
The Devil's Engine
We Got The Love
they are apparently putting together a Scenery & Fish 20th Anniversary tour. weird to have an anniversary tour of an album that didn't have your current lead singer on it. But I think Brian can sing the Edwin stuff. Don't remember (saw them once 10 years ago, at a festival, and was shrooming hard during their set!).By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0 -
