Good Bar's in Boston near venue?

Can anyone suggest a good place to hang out, drink etc near the venue before the Boston shows? Flying up from Florida and never been to Boston.
Most people with low self-esteem have earned it.

    The Harp is a big bar across the street from the arena. It will be crowded but it's very close.

    Jesus take your pick. The Harp is a great call. Hurricane O'Reilly's as well. You can stumble over to the Gahden from there.

    I'd keep an eye on here....

    the preshow gathering will likely be at the Harp or Boston Beer Works

    McGann's is also nice but small...

    there are a bunch in the area and you can't go wrong
