I dragged this in off the porch.

Bruce Springsteen will be honored as MusiCares Person of the Year during Grammy week with a tribute event featuring performances by some of the biggest names in music, including Elton John, Mumford & Sons and Kenny Chesney.

The annual event -- now in its 23rd year -- celebrates a star's artistic accomplishments as well as their philanthropic work. Previous honorees include Bono, Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin and last year's man of the hour, Paul McCartney.

The sold-out tribute event will take place Feb. 8 in Los Angeles -- two days before the Grammy Awards air on CBS -- and will be hosted by Jon Stewart.

Other announced performers include Alabama Shakes, Jackson Browne, Ben Harper, Emmylou Harris, Faith Hill, Jim James, Juanes, John Legend, Natalie Maines, Tim McGraw, Tom Morello, Patti Smith, Mavis Staples, Sting, Eddie Vedder and Neil Young.

Attendees will also include Neil Portnow, President/CEO of MusiCares and The Recording Academy; Scott Pascucci, MusiCares Foundation Board Chair; and Paul Caine, MusiCares Board Chair Emeritus. The night's musical director is Rob Mathes.

Proceeds go to MusiCares, which provides support to struggling musicians who are in financial, medical and personal need.

Will it air? I know Palladia has aired the Neil Young one and was hoping the Paul McCartney would air but it hasn't. I'd like to see the Bruce one air. Not keen on some of the performers, though.

I sure hope so, either way.
I was even hoping for a Pay Per View.

Wide range from rock to country.
i will definiytely be watching and cant help but wonder what Ed will perform.
He has already done so many, wonder if we'll get a repeat or yet another cover.

I'll be watching if at all possible.

"My City of Ruins" again? "Reason to Believe" would be pretty sweet.

Ed just recently covered ' Reason To Believe ' in Ft Lauderdale. I have only chatted with 1 person who was there, and he was blown away when he heard Ed covering it. Still cannot find it anywhere on youtube or even the Vineyard over at BTX .
    I've heard or heard of Ed covering quite a few ;
    Growin Up in Holmdel 2003
    Atlantic City in AC 2005
State Trooper in Philly / Tower Theatre
    One Step Up demo
Darkness On The Edge of Town 2004
    No Surrender 2004
Trapped ( with ESB Chicago )
    My Hometown
    My City Of Ruins
The Promised Land ( with Sleater Kinney ) 2005 Philly
    Open All Night
    Drive All Night
I'm sure I missed one or a couple,.....
will look forward to whatever he pulls out of his sleeve.

    :)

    The Live Top 50

    https://brucebase.wikispaces.com/The+Live+Top+50

Listed below are the 50 songs most frequently played in concert. The counts are generated via Brucebase's listings, and are accurate as of January 1, 2013. Many setlists from the early years are unknown or incomplete, so obviously the counts are not totally accurate. However, the counts of songs released after 1980 should be correct. Click on a song title for details of when and where it has been performed. See also our list displaying the number of times every song has been played, sorted by album.

    I agree.
I think its obviously because we arent seeing a full pearl jam cover of a Bruce/ESB song.
Its Ed pulling it acoustically off on his own.
