Bunch of folks pissed off, because they didnt get an album for $700. That they would be more than happy to flip in 12-18 months for $1000, using any and all of these excuses.

i just can't justify spending that much on vinyl. $700 can go a long way. would i love to own it? HELL YES! am i an idiot for ordering the cd instead of the vinyl b/c my turntable was broken at the time? YUP. :fp:

to each, their own....but there's no way in hell i'm spending that much on a record. no matter how badly i want it. that's the thing....it's a "want"....not a NEED.

and for the record, my Yugo needs new tires.

Wait a minute, am I reading some of these posts right? People are mad at the OP/seller because he chose to not sell to someone outside of the US? That's his fuckin' right to do! Are people really that whiny around here now??

It's not just that - which is definitely his right, and not my issue at all - it's that people in the US contacted him in his previous thread and were never responded to. Then a third thread (this one) popped up and he claimed everyone backed out - not the case.

Anyway, gotta go shop for new underpants

the issue is the way the seller handled it. in his original threads neither one had requirements to make the purchase and if you read his original thread he handled it very poorly. He also chose to ignore others that live in the USA also and apparently had a lot of people back out from the purchase for some reason. Again no mention until this thread as having to live in the USA to be a purchaser. I even asked for updates in his original thread and got ignored while he responded to other questions. These threads he started are complete manuals for how not to sell anything on here. if i'm selling something on here and I want to restrict it to certain people, I make that known ahead of time. Like others have said, communication is the key and their was little to none from the op

That's the price of doing business on this forum....Most people are incredible to deal with, really they are...From time to time you get guys , like this, who don't do the research and all of a sudden they see they are 200$ lower than any other and panic....Back out and it makes hard feelings....

I would be shocked if this went for only 700$, but it may have....His methods were just juvenile....

In the end, it's his LP...He can burn it if he likes....

This is my last post on this subject....I sold the album for $700 and $25 for shipping and handling....Which I actually lost money on the shipping and handling...Since it cost me $34 dollars to ship it....So speculate all you want.....The fan I sold the vinyl to.....He/she didn't want his/her name revealed...I respect that..So, I am not going to post who I sold it to....

I have a huge collection of pearl jam on vinyl.....I know what the Benny Hall vinyl is going for on ebay....I felt bad for selling it for $700...Since I only paid like $40 for it new....But, I need the money...

So, just give it up....The vinyl has been sold ...No need to keep speculating what happened or didn't happen..

Give this dude a break...Some people are coming off as really entitled and kind of whiney. I'm not wasting my time reading this whole thread, but at the end of the day, this is a free marketplace and people aren't running their own little PJ businesses that would warrant rules against what happened. As long as you are following forums rules, posting prices, etc..., which it appears this dude did, then it's fine.

Sounds to me that someone is upset that they missed out on the most sought after PJ item that exits. Sure, that sucks, but to be honest, the seller technically could mess with whoever he wanted (not saying this is the case, just saying he technically could), promise it to multiple people, back out on all of them and sell it to whoever he chooses to for no rhyme or reason. Would that be shady? Yep, but all sellers could do that in this marketplace setting. Is that how to make friends, gain trust and uphold the integrity of the forum? Absolutely not, but neither is chastising someone for something that is their choice. Again, not saying the seller did this, but just trying to highlight that he could of and everyone should still back off if he chose to.

One more thought...Again, I haven't read the entire thread for all the details, but from what I do see, the original seller is pretty much being teamed up on and bullied.
