You're dead wrong on this. That performance the other night was in no way representative of how those Wall shows were. And I think he had a different guy doing the Gilmour vocals on The Wall tour and he was really good. Or maybe it was this guy..I'm not sure. Either way, He was great on Young Lust, Run Like Hell, etc. No, you missed out not seeing this Wall tour. And since you saw the original 1979 shows, you'd probably appreciate it even more than the typical concert-goer; from the major updates to the subtle differences.2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea. Who won??? For if you even want to put 280 on this one, you must be an enormous dupe. (Or a gamble addict.)0 -

When he saw that guy he started jumping around like a stupid groupie "omg it's him!"... Knowing full well it wasn't. He just had to make fun of me a little. However when he heard Ed sing comfortably numb he shut the hell up! Even he had to admit that Ed sang it beautifully and was impressed by the respect roger gave him.
Hey, when PJ comes back around in 2013
we should meet up, I'm the fan, not my husband. He enjoys it but to be honest I would rather go with another real fan and put his ticket $$$ towards getting front row!
Hey, could I tag along too? I have a similar problem; I have a girlfriend who likes PJ, but is not "into" PJ. So you can imagine the comments/ jokes I get. (Being a male and all.) I had the last laugh however. When she saw Ed Vedder in Amsterdam (second night), she was the one tearing up. (I was too, but I'm a sentimental little fuck.) At the end she said that it was the "best concert" she had ever seen. I was like "duh". Of course it is one of the best concerts. Ed Vedder is one of the best vocalists and songwriters. (Even though Glenn was very impressive. His voice was vibrating through the auditorium.)
Aaaah, I'm rambling.
Ps: maybe we should start a "PJ fan with a partner who is not into PJ" support group...0 -
