People Fooled By "Fake" Eddie Vedder last night

Before Roger Waters set last night, Susan Sarandon announced that he was coming up with guest vocalist Eddie Vedder.

Well...this caused TONS of people to think that the first vocalist who assisted Roger Waters on the first couple of songs ("Money" etc...) was Eddie Vedder. Twitter literally blew up with posts about how Eddie got old/fat and his voice sucks now. As well as music forums from other bands. And the worst part is, most people didn't even solve the issue after the REAL Eddie came out...I also talked to some people at the show last night, and sure enough, they thought it was Eddie singing on "Money."

How any one thinks this guy is Eddie is beyond me, but clearly it shows there are a lot of people who stopped following Pearl Jam a long time ago:

The guy sucked in my opinion, so its frustrating that people think it was him. I don't know why this bothers me so much, but it does. So I had to vent! :)

    I was watching, and thought "um, where did they get the Scott Stapp lookalike to sing with him? and why is he singing right before ED?".

    If people don't know what Ed Vedder looks like, they are not even worth the comments...

    I do wonder however who they thought the "second" guy was that started singing with Waters :lol:

    the guy who sings the gilmour parts totally sucks and that is why i don't go to see roger waters.roger waters sings only 4 or 5 songs through a whole"pink floyd" show. the other guy sings the majority and it isn't close to seeing gilmour which i have a number of times. as far as eddie goes why was he the only one on the bill not to play a set? why didn't he join nirvana? very disappointing as far as eddie is concerned for me. i actually wanted to go based on him playing a set but sure glad i didn't. and by the way the sponsors weren't chase, delta and samsung but cialis ,viagara and geritol.

    lol, yeah I saw on twitter all the confusion. It was kinda dumb of Susan Sarandon to even mention Eddie in the intro. Just let Waters bring him out when it's time. I guess she can't get him out of her head...ya know...with all their Croon Spooning and what not.

    My friend swore that was Ed when he was back there! I was like, I have seen enough pictures of Ed and watched enough videos of Ed to spot him a mile away.

    My husband and I were watching together (sadly he's not really a pj fan but we both love Pink Floyd). he knew i was waiting for ed on the edge of my seat. When he saw that guy he started jumping around like a stupid groupie "omg it's him!"... Knowing full well it wasn't. He just had to make fun of me a little. However when he heard Ed sing comfortably numb he shut the hell up! Even he had to admit that Ed sang it beautifully and was impressed by the respect roger gave him.

    Two people next to me were arguing about it for the first few Waters songs. One even said, "I've got $280 in my walllet. Wanna bet?" Was very amusing.

    Yeah and after seeing Waters do the 1st couple of songs i'm so happy to not spent $$$$$ on hi's wall crap but before you kill me for it i saw the Original Floyd line up twice and saw the Original Wall in 79 not the crap that hi's selling these days .....
