He is one of, if not the best, drummer in the 90's era drumming. If PJ were to lose MC, and wanted to get a Dave A / MC hybrid drummer (someone who is good a rudiments and tom-tom work) then Jimmy would be their man. One of my favorites.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

My vote for "perfect next PJ drummer" still goes to Barrett Martin.Bright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"0 -
Jimmy Chamberlin is probably the greatest rock drummer of the past 25 years. I don't think there's anyone who can do what he does plus manage to look so relaxed about it in the process. I love Matt Cameron, he is by far PJ's greatest live drummer but JC is the one man who could fill his shoes.

I've been listening to Machina/The Machines of God a lot lately. Besides it being my favorite Pumpkins album, I believe it contains some of Chamberlin's finest work.0

I think he's the only drummer that flams and rim shots on a floor tom. Pretty cool. Big FanToronto 06-28-2003
