The beauty of PJR is that....well, you just cannot go wrong with any 5 song block that they play every day!

Very cool, good for you!!
sounds like it's going to be an ongoing series so there should be a lot of input from a lot of different fans.
sorry you missed my take over of pj radio =D
i'll post up when it re-airs.
Yeah, I did that but had an issue with 'tell us why YOU deserve the change' piece and wrote simply that I was not any more deserving of a list being played than any other good fan of the band....not too compelling but how I felt!
i am mine w 9/11 speech (nyc msg july 2003) attended and was in nyc 9/11
long road (chicago 2009 united ctr) attended, best version ive heard
betterman save it (jones beach aug 25 2000) attended, best version in my opinion
breath (boston april 11 1994 (my first show))
walk w me (bridge school 2010) attended
merry xmas!!!
congrats. i was able to just kinda talk to vincent when i recorded mine so i didn't really feel nervous... love that version of breath you picked too. that was the last one for a long time, until of course it reappeared at MSG2 1998...
How I choose to feel is how I am
1) Crown of Thorns from the Las Vegas 10th anniversary show...that one song Ed didn't mention...but he really wanted to play it some day "when the time was right."
2) Release from the first ever show
3) Daughter from the Virginia Beach (first show after Roskilde) show OR Daughter from Jones Beach off Touring Band 2000
4) Yellow Ledbetter from the last night of the 2000 tour. "A total hugfest" is how it was described on the Five Horizons (now TFT) Concert Chronology
5) Come Back from Berlin 2010
if i can weigh in on this - having been to both first one at virginia beach was better in that it was never done prior to that and being the first show after roskilde it was a lot heavier moment.
both were cool and while only the second one made the DVD, the first one was far and away the better version.
ps - i liked your other choices a lot.
That's what absolutely gets me on those. The one version on the DVD is fantastic, and even the "I'm gonna stand right here and give you a part" is mind-blowingly awesome, like a huge hug between the band and the fans.
But...just the emotion of the "the last time we asked the fans to do something" comments is too powerful. It was even raining that night, which just adds to the surrealness of it all.
That first one from Virginia Beach needs to be on some DVD as an Easter Egg.
Making me think of what my list would be
