Which bootleg should I buy with my new 10C membership?

Hi everyone. My name is Travis. Some of you may know me from my website Guerrilla Candy where I post all sorts of info on Pearl Jam and other Seattle-area bands. Most recently I interviewed Jeff and we talked about RNDM, the future of Pearl Jam and a bunch of other things. I recommend checking it out if you haven't already.

But I'm not here for self-promotional purposes. I'm here because today, after nearly 15 years of deliberation, I finally joined 10C. As you know, with a 10C analog membership you get a free download of a boot and I'm wondering which ones you all recommend I consider. I own more than 20 boots already so I'm looking for a gem of set that is worthy of my free DL code.

If there's a thread on the forums somewhere about best bootlegs please do point me in that direction and I'll post a modified version of this message there, unless that's bad forum etiquette, then I won't bother. I'm very new to forum posting (this is my first post) so go easy on me.

Thanks.

10/31/09 philly-last night at the spectrum. Love it! It's got 40 + songs and has some nice rarities...whip it, sweet lew, bugs. :D:D:D
I'll ride the wave where it takes me...

Welcome! Great interview with Jeff by the way.

There are a couple threads on the board with regards to bootleg download choices. Once you learn your way around a little better, I'm sure you'll come across them through search.

One bootleg that's really popular of late is Night 2 from Amsterdam 6-27-2012, where the band let a long time 10C write the setlist (http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/ ... t-20120706). That's definitely a great show and what I used this year's code on myself.

I'm sure others will chime in with different suggestions. If you're looking to maximize your download, 10-31-2009 from Philly is probably the longest show available and that whole 4 show Philly run is great.

This is the top of my list. The Amsterdam gig sounded like a special night, I'm torn 3 ways between Amsterdam 2, Missoula & Manchester 1. I have a lot of the older bootlegs so am choosing one from this years tour. I went to Manchester 1 hence wanting that one, but Missoula just looked like so much fun & I'm eager to hear it :) I can't decide either :)
Sometimes I speak of nothing at all.

Welcome to 10 Club & the PJ Forum :D

I'm gonna have to agree with the majority and say AMSTERDAM 2...
unless you're like me and have to have physical copies of these AMAZING SHOWS:

    amsterdam.jpg

With Amsterdam 2, you get three GREAT SETS...the main set opens with WASH, the first encore opens with RELEASE and the second encore you get CROWN OF THORNS!!!
It doesn't get much better than that!!
I had to break down and buy the CD's for both Amsterdam shows!!

The PHILLY '09 show is GREAT too...but I'd tell you to save up some $$ and buy the PHILLY box set...and if you don't have it already, every 10 Club member should own The Gorge boxset too!!

The Missoula '12 show was good and if you really want it, buy it this week while it's on sale for $4.99, and save your code for a regular priced show.

The other shows I find myself listening to all the time are the 2 Toronto '11 shows, Buenos Aires '11 & Berlin '10...

Hope you enjoy your time on the boards!!

Now that's a gem. 10 Clubber only show, pretty unique setlist and one hell of a In Hiding!

Other favorites for me: Toronto 1 '11. Boston '10. Copenhagen '12. London '09

    Welcome onboard
Run away my son. See it all. Oh see the world.

Bonnaroo....! - - Epic set, great energy, band was having fun... they rocked, killed it, appreciated the fans... i'm a little biased b/c I was there, but certainly one of my favorites. I was also at Philly in '09... and 10/30 and 10/31/09 -- hard to go wrong with either one... Amsterdam 2 is also great... and even though I do like backspacer... another thing I like about '08 boots... is there was no backspacer on them, so you get more of the older catalog...
