why do they always let the good ones go? :(
(oh yeah, it's because the new crappy workers get paid less  )The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

i've been inside alot of planning meetings related to layoffs....and pay is very rarely brought up. it's been my expierinece that they try to keep the best employee's, but sometimes due to circumstances it doesn't work out.
obviously, my expiernce doesn't represent everyones.81 is now off the air0 -

I dunno, seems like they take forever to get rid of some people that *need* to be fired (i.e. stealing, turning in false time cards, lying, never pulling their weight). Then, they are quick to get rid of the best ones. (those cases were offices filled with women, and they are vicious! they got rid of people just because they don't like them)The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

being liked/popular defiantly helps you stick around....when it comes down to a group of 3 people that all do the same job, it's a lot easier to get rid of the person you don't like, assuming performce is generally equal.81 is now off the air0 -

:( sucks for me...I don't play all those snarky gossipy games, so I'm not well liked. :xThe joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

they don't like my sense of humor...I gotta fix that.
"work humor"

"*real* humor"The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
