Abalone Wars on Discovery using "Alive"

I've been noticing that a new series on Discovery (Australia) called Abalone Wars is using "Alive" in its trailer. I wonder what control the band has over this or how much input they have? Is it a money thing or an environmental thing?

Just curious thats all. You don't often hear their music in a commercial sense unless its vigorously backed by the band or for a movie soundtrack.
