Benny Hall Question

To All Benny Hall owners out there:
I have a fairly specific question about the cover to the disc four vinyl. I recently purchased this about a month ago and the wonderful gentleman that sold it to me pointed out a misprint on the cover to disc four. On mine there seems to be a misprint. Basically the misprint in on the spine, Pearl Jam - Disc Four should be printed on the spine. But on my copy it seems to be misprinted so that lettering did not actually end up on the spine (like the other three vinyls), but rather it ended up slightly offset on the back cover of the jacket. Did this happen to all Benny Halls? Or just mine? I am interested to know. I have only ever seen one of these and it is the copy that I currently own. Any information would be greatly apprceiated. And if anyone needs to specifically see a picture of what I am talking about I can post one last tonight. Thanks in advance.

Mine had them all printed on the spine....0 -
Interesting, mine must be a misprint. The misprint has actually caused a slight split in the spine. I wonder if its the only misprint or if someone else has this issue as well. And unfortunately (unlike misprints on money) i assume this will negatively affect the value :fp: oh well I bought it to spin it anyways!!!ofthegirl99 wrote:Mine had them all printed on the spine....

my 4th is dead center on the spine...never heard of any off-set. Wonder how many are like that?

well that is what im trying to figure out. it is definately a strange thing. especially since i previously posted that misprinted coins are worth considerably more than other coins. so does this affect the value positvely or negatively? because of the misprint (as point out by realeased1980 when i bought it) it has caused the spine to split a little, not much, but just enough to notice it.pjradio wrote:my 4th is dead center on the spine...never heard of any off-set. A true misprint would be worth more. For instance, if you had the only box set that said "Live at Bennyroyal Hall".
But what you have isn't really a misprint, it's a miscalibration, which doesn't really affect the value. The side split would have an impact, but the vinyl is in such high demand that a slight ding isn't going to have much effect on the value.0 -
Yea I would say since it's so crazy expensive anyway that it won't matter one way or another. Not really a misprint just off center a bit. Doubt someone will shell out extra cabbage for an off center print.
But hey, still cool I guess if you like it.'08- Camden 1-2 '09- Chicago 2; Spectrum 1-4

I'm no expert, just someone who loves buying vinyl, and just to give you an idea: I would personally not buy your Benny because of this off-centre printing and the slightly noticeable spine split. I'd just wait and find one without this issue. If I'm spending that much on such an item, I want it to not have a fucked up spine on the 4th disc. For me to buy it, I'd need a reduced price (by a few hundred at least, for me to not mind the problem), or I'd just seek out another one. But did you say that yours is a low number? If so, there may be people out there who see value in that (I don't, unless it's number 1). So the low number could make up for what I just consider damage if you find the right buyer (not that it sounds like you're going to sell it, so it doesn't matter).

Uh, no one. I was simply offering you a general perspective from a general buyer because you asked a question. Sorry, just trying to lend a point of view on the situation. I'm not even in the market for a Benny. :?Grandmas Jam wrote:
