he would never say, I believe that if he were to say that Black or Alive would be, however since I don't ever see him saying publicly, I doubt we will ever know, and as far as least favorite, my hope would be if he ever does answer that one his answer would be Johnny Guitar

Just my opinion; I would say fav is either corduroy or porch. I only say this because they play these two songs a lot. Least fav.... Stupid mop?

At Wembley '07 before they played Indifference, Ed said "I've wrote alot of shit lyrics in my time but this isn't one of them". I'm not suggesting Indifference is his favourite song he has wrote but he obviously holds it in high regard

Great call - I would agree with this as well.

We will never know or hear, but it would be awesome to just sit with the man and hear what he personally thinks of each song.

Seems like they've been playing a lot of Backspacer at their most recent shows (sure, I understand most of these have been festivals), but I believe Ed is really getting a kick out of playing the Backspacer material lately.

Not even sure Ed would be able to answer this question (I certaiy can't choose a favorite PJ song or even album! Diffent answer every hour!). But the first song that came to mind when i read the question was Release. This song seems like one that was so meaningful and heartfelt for Eddie, and telling the story of something deep in him and being released from his own pain when it comes to his family and not being able to connect with his own dad before he died and everything, I always assumed it meant a lot to him. I always feel kind of misty-eyed when I hear it because there is so much personal emotion being expressed.

I would agree with release. It seems to be really special to him, but trying to figure this out is an inexact science.
