12 posters seems gluttonous to me. Especially the 3 you sold in the airport. It's nice that you sold them at face, but it seems to me those posters should have gone to some people patiently waiting in line at the merch table. Not someone who lucked out in the airport and ran into the poster fairy.

I'm sure you're a nice person because lots of people are sticking up for you. But to me, buying 12 posters in one shot is screwing the other fans in line. They should have first shot at those posters - not somebody overseas who you owe a favor. Maybe you're not "flipping" the posters, but you are buying extras to benefit yourself.

I see your point. But I trade my poster for the poster in thier country or city. If not then I would be the one buying from ebay. Which is ok because I have done it plenty of times.

Its posters people. Not like the world wont be going on. I win some I loose some. Im not doing it to screw any one out of a poster. If there was a limit of 2 then I would buy 2. But there is no limit. I am a avid Pearl Jam poster collector.

Most of the people who buy the poster just pin them up on the wall and rip it down and throw it away or sell it on ebay a year later.

I watched a girl get the purple variant and not even know what it was. Not only did she just about fold it in half she rolled it like she was making meatballs until some one yelled at her to stop. I was in so much shock I just couldnt move. Like a deer in the head light.

Do I benefit. Yes, I guess so. But so do other TEN CLUB MEMBERS that dont have a shot at the poster either by doing the same thing at thier show.

Line up earlier. Put more effort into getting the poster, shirt, sticker, hat, autograph or what ever fancies you. Im sure if you do this you will get yourself a poster.

I love the posters so I am out there at 9 am. I want to say hello to Eddie so Im there waiting for 4 hours after the show till 4 am to say hello. Some times he does some times he dont. Should I yell at him and call him an ass hole because I waited 6 hours just to say hello and he didnt. No its life. You win some. You loose more than some.

If any one needs a poster I will do my best to help out. Just PM me. No promises. I just put more work into finding posters than most. ;)

Your pants are on fire hanging on the telephone wire!!!!

Just kidding, I love Don, met him in the parking lot of a Safeway in the middle on nowhere (saved shipping) when I sold the PJ book to him and he out of the goodness of his heart helped me with my wife's last surgery!!! I'd go to bat for Don anytime! Wish I was able to go to Montana, but wife is having another surgery on Monday! Montana looked like a blast.

It would have been funny if Jon Tester was the one in the picture...

When I first saw this thread, I thought French Canadian guy had made the trek to Montana!

Nah... has more of a Ninersfan feel to it. Remember the grainy Zapruder-like cell phone video from MSG a few years ago?

Sorry for the flipping accusations if this is the case, however, I still dont think it is fair to anyone standing in the line waiting. Im sure many ppl in that merch line would have loved to have been in the front of that GA line but couldnt be for multiple reasons. I would never dare think of saving a spot for 10-12 ppl in a line so it should be the same here. We all know how posters can be a touchy subject here, so maybe next time instead of trying to be funny, cut the sarcasm and be real with the ppl in line. On the subject of cutting, I was 3rd or 4th in that line, the tent was set up, ppl were lined up and you were no one where to be seen until you squeezed in beside the table. If the story of you helping move boxes/setting up tents is true sorry on that part as well, but myself or any of the others I was with ( 5 or 6 of us) very near the front didnt see any of that. With that, I will leave this thread as is.

I helped with the boxes before the tent popped up. I asked where the line would be and they weren't sure. One of the girls was still unloading stuff where the hotdog stand was and I gave her a hand to bring the "other" merch inside the venue. I didnt help with the tent the 2nd time when it was moved to its final place. As I was helping her I said now that they moved it does that mean I loose my spot. She said "No" Just come around and Ill take care of you.

I didnt magically appear. The Merchg Mgr was right there. You dont think he would of had a problem with it.

Last thing and then Im finished. If every one thought I was cutting then, Why did NO one say any thing to me.
And the reason I said "flipper" is because after explaining yourself time and time again it gets stupid. No matter what I told you I was doing you would say or think Im lying. Its pretty sad that when humans come to thinking everything said is a lie. This world is going to hell. And fast.

  • I've never met Don but recently sold him a few items thru the lost dogs forum. He mentioned in a pm to me that he was going to Missoula. I responded wishing him a good trip and was sorry I couldn't make it due to how expensive it would be. He offered to track down a free ticket for me, try to locate me a cheap airline flight, and offered for me to share the hotel room with his group...again for free. While it didn't work out, anyone who offers to go out of their way like this for a total stranger is ok in my book!

got ya. let me see what I can swing. Disney is not cheap :( Did you know they sell hopper passes at the super markets for a good deal. Or go online to a ticket agent. I will look for a link I used that helped cut the price in half.

Ill get back to you later tonight

That was from Don during our 1st conservation a few months back. Don't know him personally but the guy is pure class in my book.

How many merchandise tables were inside / outside that place?

Correct. I'm glad I had reserved seating! :D It was for the outside merch tent. I believe there were only one...I could be wrong.

I met Don that night...nice guy IMO. I don't second guess his intentions. I've read plenty of his post to know he is on the up.

I've bought an extra this or that at my show to trade with a member on here for something they bought me from their show. I picked up an extra EV Seattle shirt for someone on here and charged them face value. Does this make me a bad person? I don't believe so. Some people might, and that is ok. 10c will have these for sell more then likely in a few weeks. If anyone buys one for an inflated price, that's their choice. For me personally, it's the wrong choice...but to each their own. As badly as I want that Reaper poster, I'll never pay hundreds of dollars for it. Will I ever get one? Not likely with that mindset. I will live without it however. Maybe. :D

Some of the posters were for people not at the show... Just curious, why do people want posters of shows they didn't attend? As cool as a poster may be, it isn't worth anything to me if I wasn't there. Obviously there are a lot of collectors on here who will take anything PJ... But why go through the trouble of asking someone, in advance, to get you an as-yet-unseen poster of an event you have no connection with?

Afroannnie and i ran right to the merch stand when the doors opened.

We were 12 rows back from the stand and it took us about an hour to get to the front.

I bought six tshirts, a hoodie, a ball cap, and two posters.

Put AA's stuff on my card so we could make the transaction faster.

As we were walking away, a beady-eyed smirking nimrod said, "She'll have that up for sale in an hour."

I looked right at him and said "No I won't, you snivilling dickhead."

I might not have said "snivilling dickhead."

    He was an ass, though.
My eyes are not that beady.

Collectors are crazy! As someone who is on the cusp (am I kidding myself?:lol: ) I would do that if the date has some significance to me (birthday!) or if I get wind of it being a badass poster. For this one, probably people guessed it might be a Jeff vs another artist. It's also the only US non-festival show so I think people expected them it to be a killer.
