I think there may have also been a minor lie about some weapons Iraq had and why we started a war with them? I remember something about WMDs vaguely. If you wouldn't mind, please also recap your outrage for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi's based on a lie.0

Really trying to avoid the Pat Tillman question, aren't you? I asked you a few pages back...no answer. Cosmo asked you up on this page and you only quoted part of his comment and.....wait for it......wait for it.......wait for it......no answer.
Typical democratic thought. Diversion divesrion divesion.I'm not convinced the US government lied about Pat Tillman. If they did, the same applies for them in my book. However, the Pat Tillman story was during a time we were in the middle of a war. The OBL issue was we went in on a murder mission. Just simply say that. Nothing wrong with that. Why make up this elaborate story about how he was using a woman as a human shield and all of that bullshit. Zero reason to hold a press conference and come up with this elaborate story except to make the government and administration feel and look like bigger "heroes" then they were. Obama should have just had the balls to say "we found Osama...we went in and took him out...anyone have a problem with that"?
Bush Jr. would have said that. I still remember his stirring "you are either with us or against us" speech after 9/11. Put shit right in perspective.

It wasn't a lie and quite frankly I could not care any less about a land and people we are at war with. Sounds obtuse but it's what I believe.0 -

You fucking kidding me dude? How are you not convinced the government lied about Tillman? Please explain this one. He was shot from less than 100 yards by friendly fire, his head was blown off with his brother less than half a mile away and his family was specifically told that he was killed by the enemy. I would fucking LOVE for you to show my an ounce of evidence that that is false. One ounce.0 -

We found the weapons we were looking for? News to me
So we can esentially commit genocide on a country of people if we are at war, regardless of the reason.
And we are being accused of being typical "demos". Let's get this staight. You think we are typical "demos" when I have yet to hear you criticize the MOST BASIC lies fed to us by the last adminstration, lies that got us into a war and lies that used one of the most publicized soliders in the war as propaganda while not giving his fucking family the respect of knowing how their, son, husband, brother died? You think this is fucking fine?0 -

War time. Aciidents happen. Everyone is human. Zero reason during war time to bring up things like friendly fire. ZERO! My father told me stories of actually shooting on and then running over members of his own team in Vietnam. He did two tours and drove an APV. Still no excuse but it happens.
Still wondering why Obama would want to make up this story? Doesn't make a lot of sense. Looking forward to reading through the book.0 -

Pretty much. So what you're saying then is the Iraqi "government" was a positive thing for the US to dispose of then? They weren't evil? Is this what you're saying then? :corn:0 -

Admitted by whom? :?0 -
Pat Tillmans clothes were burned to hide evidence that he was killed by friendly fire and that is fine while exaggerating the Bin Laden raid is a travesty? People that were with him when he was killed were told to lie at his funeral to his family? LIE AT HIS FUCKING FUNERAL and people are worried about small details in the Bin Laden raid.0

...and you know they are small details about the OBL raid how? :corn:
Like I keep saying...why lie? Serves no purpose. We went in and killed him. Have some balls Obama and just state the facts. The intelligence came through. It was correct. We went in and killed him. Great. Good job.0 -

So the families should not be told how their sons/daugthers/husbands/wives died? That is the type of country you want us to live in? You would like the families of the soldiers/heros to wonder for the rest of their life how their family members died? That is okay with you?0 -

I think everyone understands the concept of friendly fire just as you have noted. So why not just tell the truth?Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -

From everything I have read, it seems that way.
Who really gives a fuck? Why does it matter? The raid was glorified. Who the fuck cares? The dude is dead. If they wanted us to think it was like a movie, who cares? It actually seems like Obama gave them more credit than they actually deserved.0 -

What is fucking shocking to me. SHOCKING! Is that this person wants the entire truth when it comes to the death of Osama Bin Laden, a fucking scumbag terrorist who murdered 3,000 Americans. The entire truth on his death must be revealed, 100% accuracy in the death of a terrorist.
But....
It is okay to lie to the family of an American hero, a soldier who gave up a multi million dollar job playing a game for a living and doing whatever he wanted for the rest of his life. Playing a game for 6 years then retiring at under 30 and doign whatever he wanted for the rest of his life. He gave all that up and was killed in a war, and his family and the public do not have the right to know how he died. That is acceptable to be lied about
The American public needs to know every tiny small detail of the death of a fucking scumbag terrorist, but we don't deserve to know how an true American hero died? It is acceptabe for a heros death to be lied about and held in secrecy, but the most successful terrorist on the face of the earth it is not okay to lie about?
This is your philosophy? The American public deserves the whole truth for a scumbag, but not a hero?Post edited by Cliffy6745 on0 -

President Obama's announcement of bin Laden's death
http://video.search.yahoo.com/video/pla ... Full+Video
If the argument is over the term 'firefight', ask any service personnel, when even one member of a unit has to fire his weapon in defense of himself or his team, they are engaged in the technical military term of a 'firefight'.
You want to blame someone for the distortion of facts, take a look at the media headlines and storyline on the death of bin Laden, those are the headlines that books and movies are made of and Bissonnette was more than willing to sell out his former Seal unit for a book and movie deal.
Romney and his cash cows are trying diminish the fact that Osama bin Laden was killed on President Obama's watch. Romney has nothing when it comes to foreign policy, hell he couldn't even make the effort to stopover in Afghanistan and speak with the troops. Romney accusing the President of leaking intel is a sign of desperation.SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.0
