Thanks speedy. I came back and was about to knock him out with 3 Jacks....but he rivered a straight.

I echo Speedy's thoughts about Baldy, and it is annoying that he is a donkey and pulls hands out of his ass a lot. It's annoying, but hey, he should lose more in the long run with that kind of play. What I can stand is him taking 30 seconds everytime it's his hand. He did not play a hand tonight without the time coming up in the chatbox. We could have played at least 20 more hands if we weren't waiting for him all the time.

Sorry buddy... Baldy has a far more stake in the name "River" than you. This is the kinda bullshit drives me absolutely nuts.

    Baldy, bestdeal, cmj....

As the weeks and months go by it is fairly OBVIOUS to see their strategy. They bet early, they bet often, they play AGGRESSIVE right off the bat, and hope to double up as soon as possible. Cmj and Baldy will call anyone, with anything. There is no method to their madness. Rivvers had to be THRILLED the 1st 6-8 hands of the night, when cmj doubled him up. Cmj just kept throwing his money in the pot, trying to bluff, and rivers consistently called and eliminated cmj in less than 10 hands. Baldy SHOULD have had the same fate, and been knocked out next. INSTEAD Baldy was playing donkey crap, after donkey crap, and getting lucky 90% of the time, and winning his hands.
Bestdeal also plays aggresive, but he his 5x the player Baldy is.

I cant blame Baldy for calling my all in yesterday. It was an additional $600 to him, and he already had $300 invested. It was a No-Brainer, of course he is going to call me. But I knew damned well when the cards got turned over, that Baldy was going to have SHIT! 3-J!!! But I had shit too. hehehehe

Tournament poker...you can't win unless you play and you need the 2 or 3 lucky hands to hit. Just the way it is.

I've played with guys that their whole strategy is all in through the first few rounds with marginal hands. Either they double...triple up, etc. or they buy back in at a discounted rate. It is what it is.

Don't hate the messenger. Play cash games and the game becomes "more true" if that's what you're looking for.

Cash games are far from "more true' and in fact are "less true" with the option to get more chips at any point players take way more risks than they do in tournament setting.

I tend to disagree with that but I understand your point. At any given time a tournament player is only betting their buy in...where a cash player is betting real world money at any given time. Also, with cash games, players come and go much more freely than tournament play. A guy with a short stack at a cash table is a lot less likely to "gamble" just becasue hes short stacked. Makes no sense. That's still real money they are playing with.
