A new low for Joe Biden
Godfather.

Vice President Biden drew a tough retort from Mitt Romney's campaign Tuesday after telling a Virginia audience that the Republican presidential candidate's plan to lift financial regulation would "put y'all back in chains."

worse than the flip flop swift boat shit from 04? I thought I would lose my mind during that season.
I am about to shut off...after the GOP convention I am unplugging. I know who I will be voting for and short of him being shown eating baby pandas and using Nazi themed napkins to wipe his mouth he will keep my vote...that’s right! Speaking of votes not meaning anything. My Congressional district was gerrymandered to look like this to keep the shitty Republican who somehow won in 2010 in office:Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

Campaigns have been dumbed down since 2004. They are dumbed down to reach the dumb electorate that'll venture off of their couches in November.

Nah - dirty campaigns started long before that.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_1828The campaign was marked by an impressive amount of mudslinging. Jackson's marriage came in for attack: when he had married his wife Rachel, the couple had believed that she was divorced; however, the divorce was not yet finalized, so he had to remarry her once the legal papers were complete. In the Adams campaign's hands, this became a scandal. Charles Hammond in his Cincinnati Gazette asked: “Ought a convicted adulteress and her paramour husband be placed in the highest offices of this free and Christian land?”
The notorious Coffin Handbills attacked Jackson for his court martial and execution of deserters, massacres of Indian villages, and his habit of dueling.
Adams did not escape attack. It was charged that Adams, while serving as Minister to Russia, had surrendered an American servant girl to the appetites of the Czar. Adams was also accused of using public funds to buy gambling devices for the presidential residence; it turned out that these were a chess set and a pool table.
Adams' praise of internal improvements in Europe, such as "lighthouses of the skies" (observatories), in his first annual message to Congress, and his suggestion that Congress not be "palsied by the will of our constituents" was given attention in and out of the press. John Randolph stated on the floor of the Senate that he'd "never will be palsied by any power save the constitution, and the will of my constituents." Jackson wrote that a lavish government combined with contempt of the constituents could lead to despotism, if not checked by the "voice of the people".Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

It is the never-ending campaigning that has become brain numbing.
It used to be, we would have to suffer through campaign shit from late September to Election Day.
After that, we quit being Republicans and Democrats and went back to being Americans again.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

Cosmo, I think you're right; what we're seeing in these "ads" are reflective of us. Hell, look at how political discussions often go down in this little microcosm.0 -

What the fuck is this world
Running to? You didn't
Leave a message
At least I could have
Learned your voice one last time.
Daily minefield
This could be my time
How 'bout you?
Would you hit me?
Would you hit me?
All the bills go by
And initiatives are taken up
By the middle
There ain't gonna be any middle any more
And the cross I'm bearing home
Ain't indicative of my place
Left the porch

After watching it on the news, it was obvious he was talking specifically about slavery. And it was obviously, while in extreme poor taste for a VP, a joke.
One thing is for sure...Biden is an idiot of the highest order. I wouldn't trust that guy with my lunch order, let alone the presidency.hippiemom = goodness0
