meaning of insignificance

PJ20 book says "insignificance" had to do with Seattle WTO protests but the line about "bombs dropping down...excuse our hometown for our insignificance" seems to say more than that. I think it was an unfortunately prophetic sort of song that had post 9/11 application.

    In some recent shows (2008-2010) - please correct me if I'm wrong - Eddie said something in the lines of: In Seattle, we make bombs. That's where our taxes go.

    I always thought it was about how the people who work at the boeing factory in Seattle indirectly kill people. The factory works need to make a living to support themselves, but by doing so, they produce the planes what will eventually shot down other planes, bomb enemies, etc.
