Just sign up on the website, and either tweet 2 articles, share 2 articles on facebook, or sign 2 petitions. Then you will have 3 points and automatically added to the drawing. Or you can buy VIP tix right now for a lot of dough.

    Ticket FAQs: http://globalcitizen.org/Content/Conten ... 795d64f39e

How do I get tickets to the Global Festival?
To enter the lottery to win a pair of tickets, you need to register as a Global Citizen, and earn three points or more, by learning, sharing or taking action.

Once you've earned three points, you will be entered into the pool for any future lottery draws (we'll be drawing 27,000 pairs of tickets across August and September). You can earn extra chances to win by taking more action. For each additional 5 points you earn on Global Citizen, you'll get an extra chance to win.

Those who win tickets will receive an email from us giving you a link and seven days to claim your ticket from our exclusive ticketing provider, Eventbrite. If you don't claim your ticket in time, we'll return it to the pool for future draws.

Want to be in with a chance to win tickets? Register as a Global Citizen and take action to fight extreme poverty today. Full terms and conditions are available here.

I'm confused. It's a free ticketed show. Free!! But there's a contest to win "free tickets"?
    What the deuce?

I know, I read all that. But do you have to donate money? sign up for other websites? Volunteer places? how do you earn points?

guessing that local NYC radio stations (& others) will be giving them away prior to event...& if you didn't manage to get those, they're giving away a couple thru this site

No I was hoping someone who did could explain before I registered. I'm going to be in NYC for Jack White so I thought it may be cool to do both.

Look at my answer I posted above- its quite simple and took me literally one minute to be entered in the drawing:

Just sign up on the website, and either tweet 2 articles, share 2 articles on facebook, or sign 2 petitions. Then you will have 3 points and automatically added to the drawing. Or you can buy VIP tix right now for a lot of dough.

How I miss the rubber factory days. I still like them but them playing arena shows is a little bit of a bummer especially with similar setlists.

I feel the exact same way. Attack and Release was the turning point.
