it was like a dream :D
you really don't exist Eddie... you're the greatest!
    thank you
  • Great that Eddie did "Drive All Night" with Glen-I love hearing the two of them singing together! :D
Perhaps they would even release an album together?
    "A beacon on dry land"
  • Thanks Ed for making it an awesome experience for the Portuguese fans who aren't as "spoiled" as US fans.

I really wanted to hear more uke songs (Sleeping by myself) but it's totally understandable why he didn't play more. After the first three songs, it was clear what the crowd wanted.

The highlights for me were no doubt the jam competition in Society, Sleepless nights and the flawless Falling Slowly. I remember the first time they attempted it (in Providence, RI, correct me if I'm wrong) and it's much better now. :)

Thanks Ed for remembering the Ribeira d'Ilhas Surf Camp situation. It's an unfair thing that goes on and it means a lot having the word spread out. A country with college grads living with $500 per month has great souls who find surfing as a way to forget how tough things can be. And some suits come on and decide that people don't belong there just because they don't dress a certain way or don't a certain hairstyle.

Thanks Ed. See you in Philly. :)

  • It was a magical night.
I thank Eddie and his team, for such a great concert.
I did like Glen’s performance and the final, apotheotic with a wonderful duet with Eddie, his appearance gave me strength, to not give up my seat, and stand five hours in the side rail.
It was painful to see previous bands, that don’t mean anything to me. I did not realized the festival alignment.
It was the 1st time I saw Eddie solo and 4th in total.
The hat didn’t allow me to view clearly his expressions, his smile and his eyes. But the voice ... the voice was better than ever! The sound was very good and Eddie at his best...
I also liked the details on the stage and the backdrop of the scenario that was changing along.
The music ... the songs made sense to me ...
An almost eldery woman, not always behind the counter in a small town, Algés.
The hard sun, can’t keep me, go far behind, just breathe for a always better man
Sometimes my lunatic brain damage, setting forth immortality, rise a big rainbow Arc, above Lukin porch. I see the path cut by the moon.
Society Falling Slowly, my Unthought Known, guaranteed I am mine.
Open All (Night) Sleepless Nights with(out) you.
Wishlist: Keep on rocking/sufing in (Ribeira d’ilhas/Portugal) a free world
An last kiss we will not soon forget
    I miss you already
Hey you’ve got to hide you love away

"You don't exist*" … “this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you.”
    But, we will fix it!

Me and my older daughter, we travel by car, 240 km to see the concert, in our way back we saw a fox on the road, a shooting star in the sky and got home with the dawn. “No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the Dawn…”

I Didn’t take photos or recorded anything, considering that was the least I could do for Eddie who gave us so much.

I tell you, it was a blessing!
Thank you, thank you and thank you!

I almost didn't go but I caught a ride at the very last minute and I am so glad I did. It was so worh it, the 4 hour drive and the long wait.
I had never seen just Eddie live and it was amazing. I believe this would be a much better gig if it were in a smaller venue, such as the Lisbon Coliseum or Aula Magna for example.
I really don't know what to say, I am still speachless. I loved it and I hoping to see the band live next year here in Portugal. I am still very mad at you for having an European Tour and not visiting us. Oh who am I kidding, I can't stay mad at you. But come soon, kay?

Oh and can anyone tell me if the poster will be for sale here? I didn't buy it then, I was going to after the gig but I forgot. I want that poster baaaad.

I should say some things more
about this one very special moment
    Kozik's print was explicit
    SING(...)PORTUGAL
so we did(we're not dead), not just along the first line of Just Breath
we got to sing Porch just for us in that part...
loved the way the hole stage was set, with all the doctors and the lady, with the final touch of sticking 'EriceiraSS' sticker(lizard shape) in Eddie's box...
the show starts and the words fall short in my mind to explain sutch fullfilled expectacions
Eddie mention we was drinking some wine from the region 'alentejo' and we was preety glad about it; no wonder
loved the way i was singing Betterman(different version) along with the artist, and everyone else was doing the regular one
Arc is so amazing live, there was some kids near me and got to ear one of them saying if it was 'The Lion King'!?, i was enjoying this one moment very mutch but i couldn't jack a smile to that :o:)
always thought Ben could show up on this, since a day apart isn't that mutch, i had that thought that Glen filled it up too, he's delightfull, that 'Drive All Night' was so intense!

so it makes more sense to live in the present tense
all we need is some bootlegs 8-)
