I'm still waiting on the day one of THEIR leaders running for office comes over here, visits say St. Patricks cathedral, lights a candle and prays a catholic prayer WITHOUT his KIPPAH on his head. Hmmmm, that'll NEVER happen!!! I still CAN'T believe these fucking idiots running for office who believe in their own so called god do THIS to get elected. Nobody else find this behavior strange???0

Beyond that, it's mildly offensive, even to me.
And i'm not one for tradition, nor do i usually care about this kind of shit.
I have a good bit of "jewish heritage" (ie. both my dad's parents are of european jewish descent), practice no faith, and really am apathetic about most all things religious.
Some shmuck going to the holy land, feigning jewish worship, and throwing on garmets of a custom that is not this, goes beyond "strange" to me ... i'd imagine orthodox jews have to take it as borderline insulting, at least.

On the one hand, there's the "when in Rome" philosophy. I chose to abide by the customs of Spain, Italy, and other countries when visiting their churches - keeping certain areas of my body covered, etc.
On the other hand, the rabbi overseeing my father's funeral scolded Danny for not wearing a yarmulke during the service.
