I was kinda upset that the line "Live from St. John's it's Saturday night." isn't in the boot at all.
Other than that, they're both awesome!
Yeah it's definitely there...i've listened to that part a few times now. It's awesome!"I'm gonna save you fucker, not gonna lose you!"0 -

It's damn good to hear that "Live from St. John's, it's Saturday Night" is there. I was worried there for a second.
Man, what a weekend it was. I'm still depressed that it's all over actually. I can't wait to get those bootlegs to bring me back. It's still so sureal.Visit my Blog : Understanding Eli

I had a friend ask what I've got to live for now that *THE* weekend is over. :eek:0 -

I'm totally there... it was very hard to go back to my office job, after seeing them play two nights in a row and meeting Stone!! I too will be purchasing my bootlegs...0 -
45 songs.
Those of us who were fortunate to get tickets to both shows got to see the best band in the world sing 45 different songs.
I just want to send a big thanks to the band and everyone involved in the tour for coming to visit us here in Newfoundland.
Two Feet has the write up for the 25th’s show up now…or if you can consider it a write up. I’m thinking about writing them myself so that the show can have some justice done to it.
One cool thing pertaining to Sunday’s show here in St. John’s, my buddy who just got home from Texas (he was flown out because the hurricane was coming) got home just in time for the show. He called me up wondering if I had a ticket left…luckily for him and for me that I did. (Believe it or not I was having trouble getting rid of that last ticket…nuts isn’t it?)
He asked me about bringing in a digital cam to the show…we said that it shouldn’t be a problem as there were loads of them there at the first show.
Through the jigs and the reels he told me that he bought a new 1Gig memory card for it…and that’s when the fireworks went of in my lil noodle.
Asked him if it took video…sure did…asked if it captured audio too…sure did!
SWEET!!
We got Small Town, Evenflow, most of Alive and the better part of Jeremy on video!
It freakin’ rocks!!!!
I can only hope that the do a dvd for this tour!
Thanks again guys for one of THE best weekends of my live…you have TOTALLY spoiled me now for seeing any other concerts…because no matter what other bands I see…they will NOT be able to live up to the shows that you put on here in St. John’s!Jamie Nashville0 -

Ah man...that big bouncer dude he was on our ass all weekend.
We went down by the backstage enterance to listen to the sound check for the first show and maybe sneak a peek in and score an autograph...when he come out and told us to get back up by the road behind the barrier. We tried to plead our case and asked him to cut us a break...he said "I am giving you a break...I'm asking you with a smile."
Round 1: Bouncer 1 - Us 0
So we get to the show sat night 16th row, me and my buddy were gonig nuts. So we hop up on our seats to have a better look at the band and all things...and who should come and tell us to get down...you got it...the bouncer dude.
Round 2: Bouncer 2 - Us 0
So the next day we went to the Delta to see if we could see and/or meet the elusive Pearl Jam. And who should we meet...but this one is the funniest. He told us that if we wanted to get an autograph or whatever the best place to do it was at the venue. ??? What? We tried that...and HE himself told us to get the hell out of there.
Round 3: Bouncer 3 - Us 0
So after carring Vs. and a Sharpie in my pocket all weekend...trying our hardest...we got nothing.
But I hope my lil story made you laugh.

I'm finally gettin' a chance to listen to this show for the first time since seein' it and it sounds fantastic man. I'm instantly taken back to the night and relivin' the whole thing in my mind and havin' a supper time doin' so.
I really think the guys loved it here. I know they do similar antics and say the same kinda stuff everwhere but I truly felt they had a super time while visiting this province. I feel that it inspired them... as we are a truly unique place in this huge world of ours... not to say that everywhere isn't.
They spoke so much about Newfoundland and it's beauty on night one and Eddie even encorperated a little something at the end of Wishlish on night 2; "Keep me warm, keep me warm. I'll think of St. John's to keep me warm". Man, that was truly a special moment for everyone.
The highlight of the night for me was when Ed got out the mirror (Half Full) and started reflecting the light on the crowd, all around the stadium. Just to the left of the stage he found a Newfoundland flag and held the light there for a few moments as the crowd went completly nutty. Then, he moved from there to the Canadian Flag hangin' from the rafters, where the crowd went even more insane. He ended the song back on the Newfoundland flag. Awesome, Awesome stuff.
Again... thank you so much Pearl Jam for comin' here and rockin' our socks off.Visit my Blog : Understanding Eli

What happened anyway? does anyone know for sure? Was it the hockey team or the pending storm er what?montreal 2000

Nobody knows for sure but Mile One replied back to a few emails about the situation sayin' that they have never or would ever kick an act our. They even sent along the scheduled given to them by PJ's people statin' that they wanted to be out of there by 10:00.
From what I've heard, they had a flight that night to fly out of the city that they couldn't miss. Must of has something planned elsewhere; perhaps Ed had a meeting with his friend that got married during the tour? Who knows...Visit my Blog : Understanding Eli

i heard/read that they needed to pack up the equipment and get it to the ferry in time to make the next gig...they couldn't keep the ferry waiting and couldn't afford to miss it.0 -

That's the truth, there. Straight from Jill Vedder. She came out before the show right next to where I was to talk someone I knew (the infamous Kelly) and that was part of the conversation.0
