It's that time again all you poster freaks. I'm creating a thread to keep track of all the awesome (and not so much) poster art that will be for sale at all the EV shows this year. (Both the Europe and US shows) I've done this before and it's worked out nicely where I'll update the original post with the posters and artists as they come out. Feel free to post pics and discuss what your thoughts are of each one. :D

    I'm torn on these posters.

    On one hand, yes it's a little insensitive to have a gun on a concert poster this soon after what happened in Aurora, Toronto, and after what happened in Norway last year.

    BUT

    I'm sure these designs were created before Springsteen and McCartney had the plug pulled on their show a couple of weeks back, but BOTH posters can be seen in the context of that event.

    Night one's poster - Law Enforcement/the government, etc. holding the gun and pulling the plug on the show early. Get off the stage or else.

    Night two's poster - Ed sitting in rubble with his Uke and a gas mask basically saying - Fuck you I'm going to keep playing no matter what extreme's you go to in order to shut me down. You can't make me stop playing my music. or even more profound. No matter how much we try to kill each other and everything we'll always have music.

    When looked at from that standpoint, as a set, they are brilliant!

    A Clockwork Orange?
    From Inside The Rock Poster Frame:
    he assisted Frank Kozik in the design of the poster. Eddie wanted a Clockwork Orange theme and Frank delivered it. The bottom right of the poster says "In Memory of Algys Budrys", he was a native of Manchester and the writer of A Clockwork Orange.
