Rock should have jobbed. Hogan jobbed to him when Rock was the top guy and Hogan was on a nostalgia run.

guess you can add Brock Lesnar returning to the WWE now. Came back on RAW tonight and gave Cena an F-5.

  • I haven't watched for about 3-4 years or more, (except for when Bret Hart initially came back)but have to say, the last month I've been tuning in. Caught some of WM last night. Undertaker/HHH was a sgreat a match as I can remember. That was what wrestling should be. Also happy to see Cena lose. He is the main reason I stopped watching. Got sick of Cena vs. 10 guys in a handicap, no way Cena will overcome the odds, matches that he won every week. I used to joke that next week's main event would be John Cena in a 47,000 on 1 handicap match against the NYPD, and Cena would go over clean

Brock leaving the first time is the reason Cena was pushed

I watched wresting religiously as a kid up until 2002 (a decade ago! :o). Now I tune in every few months just to see what guys I know are still around. Last night I ended up watching pretty much the entire 1000th episode. It was awesome seeing some many guys that I am familiar with. But where was Stone Cold!?!?!?!

How was it? Totally forgot about it. They were saying something about Charlie Sheen tweeting during the episode and I blacked it out of my mind

i have not seen any wrestling since wrestlemania 2010 so i had no idea what is going on with the storylines, but hey it was the 1000th episode in my hometown, so i was there last night. some of it was pretty cool while other parts of it were just terrible...

i was never ever a stone cold fan, but i was more than a little shocked that he was not there last night. every commercial break they showed video clips of the history of raw and stone cold was in so many of them so it was strange that he was not there.

IMO these were some of the cool parts-

-the dx reunion was kind of cool. i never liked road dog or billy gunn but it was cool to see them all together again after all those years.
    -the kane/undertaker reunion
    - the lesnar hhh confrontation
    - the main event
    - the rock's multiple appearances
    - the title change
    - lita's appearance was cool too.
    -jericho, as always...
    - bret hart

IMO these were some of the terrible moments-

-the wedding...i mean seriously, WTF? how many wedding angles are they going to do? the macho man/elizabeth one, the test/stephanie one, the stephanie/hhh one, and now this one. it was pretty bad to witness that part...

    - the charlie sheen video tweeting was stupid...

and there were a few others that escape my memory right now.

it could have been so much better though. notable absences were stone cold, flair, hogan, chyna, harley race (he lives here and runs a wrestling school that has trained many of the current young guys), terry funk, razor ramon (he was just here 3 weeks ago for an indy show), and a few others. overall it was an ok show. i probably would have liked it better if i were following storylines ahead of time and if some more of the legends were there.

i looked at the merch and they had every championship belt for sale and the cheep ones were $375...you would not believe how many people there plunked down that kind of money for one or two of those belts. some of them looked like they didn't have much money at all, but they had $750 worth of belt on their shoulders...

my personal highlight of the night, i actually marked out and wore an old nwo shirt and dressed as scott hall because i have a week's worth of stubble and super long hair that i slicked back and had a piece hanging down past my chin. i also had the requisite toothpick... i was walking to the bathroom on commercial break and i was walking by the concession stand lines and everyone was going "HEY YO!" or "too sweet!" and doing the old nwo/dx point at me. one guy was so impressed with how i looked he bought me a $10 beer lol...i did not know whether i should have been proud or embarrassed lol...

something else that bothered me some was how many grown adults actually believed that the storylines are real... YIKES...

Whoa Lita showed up? She was always my favorite female wrestler, way cool.

Couldn't agree with you more on the wedding angle. It's been done and done and done...so old. Vince needs to get some fresh new writers. Everything's been so predictable...I probably haven't watched a full episode in a few years.

Wait wait...you met people that actually thought it was real? Seriously??!!!:lol::lol:

yeah she showed up and wrestled this guy and won. everyone was shocked to see her. she stll looks great, btw.

yeah everything has already been done before. it is just re-done with younger talent...

oh yeah, you should have heard these people yelling obsceneties at the bad guys and they were legitimately upset when things did not go how they wanted them to... even the little kids were angry and screaming things lol... my friends and i would boo the good guys though, so i can imagine that made those people even more upset lol.... people around me booed the shit out of cena lol... he would do a move and people would just mercilessly boo him lol... people around me booed the rock too  it must have been all of the beers...
