What are everyone's lodging plans for this, anyway? I know several of us are coming from Chicagoland -- anyone book a room yet, or interested in going in on one together? I'm just assuming no one will be left in any condition to drive back to Illinois.

Well, looks like we have a choice. We can stay around the Stadium in the Brewer bars with the locals which probably would be more fun but not a "good" hotel within walking distance. But the people are awesome, a lot of good bars to wander to, good local bar food and won't get puked on or we can go downtown where there are a ton of great hotels and cool bars. Problem with downtown (now I wanna listen to Mirrorball) its super trendy and LOUD everywhere you go. Everybody is always shitbombed. There are only a couple of bars that do shuttles to the games from there. Should we vote?

I'm for the "more fun" place of being near the stadium. Who needs trendy and a lack of bar options?

There are a Million bars downtown, come on its Milwaukee. But they are all the same. LOUD and overpriced. I don't wanna influence anybody's decision because I hate downtown. But if that's where people wanna go I'll get over it. It's still a fun time down there, I'm just old.

Oh, no, sorry, that's what I meant -- would prefer not to be in an area where the bar options are all the same and super loud with, I dunno, Kei$ha playing in the background.
But, really, I go where the party is and the booze is flowing. I have my preference, but whatev.

I'll check what's in the area. There are a few within a cheap taxi ride. I can pick everyone up from the hotel before the game, but can't promise I'll be walking much less driving at bartime.

I usually go where I can take over the jukebox for the night. That's one of the reasons I don't frequent downtown anymore. I have no control in what's played and I can't handle that.
Cheap, clean and close to where we can hang out. About two miles from about a dozen good bars we can invade. Plus I know a few bartenders that will be happy to see us around the area. Like I said, this isn't a tourist area. If this isn't what people want let me know. http://travel.stadiumhotelnetwork.com/h ... _hid=52255

Hey, good deal; nice one! So if we get one room and about 10 people stay here, it’s only about $5 a person for the night – sweet! Dibs on the bathtub.

i'll toss in a 20 spot and take a bed.
Ha! You've just made it about $2 cheaper for the rest of us, sucker!
Last option, stayed here a couple months ago for a wedding. Nicest hotel I've ever been to. The shower was the size of a king bed! But most expensive. AWESOME bar!

They have bar inside where my wife and I bartended for a couple years.

Or we could stay here for a little upgrade and be downtown. I stayed there for 3 days when I got married and they have two great bars onsite.
