I love No Code.... it is without doubt my fav Pearl Jam album and only behind REM's "Automatic for the People" in my favourite albums of all time.

I love how there is such a great mixture of sounds on the record, it works brilliantly. The album sounds timeless, beautiful, epic... I could go on and on, but instead I would like to hear your views :D

So anyone with love for this amazing album please share your views... lets make this topic as great as the album hehe

And though her mood is fine today there's a fear they'll soon be parting ways.

No, I don't think it is. But I am with you in loving Automatic For The People.

It was their first album to not sell a booming number of copies it's first week out...but I think over time it has become something of a staple for SOME people. There's always a discussion of a divide between people who like Yield and those who prefer No Code. I like them both.

As far as underrated goes...none...but not popular...yes. For instance, from what I've read here not many people are fans of Backspacer...not that their aren't those who are...just the feeling I get.
I do know that it's way to damn short of an album. I can put it on and the next thing I know it's over...it's like a date without a nice kiss at the end. I feel left hanging. Ok...I side tracked from your original question. In short, no.

No. PJ fans swear by it. In fact if there was a poll (I have no proof other than a hunch) I think it would be in the top 3 fave albums, maybe even top 2.

I'll go with Riot Act, that's a killer album that gets little attention on tour and even less love when we talk about songs we want to hear on tour. Besides Save You what gets regular play. Even LBC has become a rarity and with songs like Thumbing My Way, Can't Keep, Ghost (that is NEVER played)....I can go on. But that's my 2 cents. Binaural is always overlooked, I just prefer RA.

No, and mostly due to the face that alot of people (Especially on here ) feel it's their favorite PJ album. I think Riot Act or Binaural are more underrated.....especially live.

Yield is the most underrated IMO. I rate it as their second best and a lot of reviews are not too kind. 2.5 stars out of 5 from All Music!?!?

I find it very difficult to rate their albums. Each one is special to me for differents reasons.

No Code came out when I was in a time of transition. It plays well to that period of my life. It's diverse for sure, but I don't believe it's underrated.

I agree with many that Riot Act is underrated and definitely not enough of the songs
in the set lists. I'd love to hear one of the bands conversations on the set lists and her
Eddie's thoughts on the decision making process.

I don't think it's underrated as a "Pearl Jam" album, as it is the object of continual recognition and praise here on the boards. I DO think however, that it is one of the most underrated albums in all of music. :)
