I did not want to trade mine for something else. I wanted to keep it. You got someone elses print. If you didn't want it, you shouldn't have bought it.0 -

why does it matter? if someone else wants it, then he basically got the poster for them. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I couldn't agree more. If I got shut out of a poster that I want, and if later I have a chance to get a poster other people want--you're damn right I am going to try to get that poster then try to swap with someone.
For example-Say I got shut out on the Soto print and realize that I will now have to pay double what it costs to get a s/n edition. Finding some generous soul to sell it to me for what they paid for it is a lot of work and most likely won't happen. What are my options here? I could just pay the insane price to get that poster, perhaps find someone who is insanley generous to sell it to me for cost, or buy another sought-after print that costs about the same as the Soto print and trade someone that poster for it. Hmmmm....buying another poster and swapping seems to be in my best interest. In the end, two people end up getting what they want for cost. This is just my opinion and I know it is a hot topic around here.0 -

It doensn't matter to you because its not you......
Think of it this way. PJ plays a show and there are 1500 people in line for 1000 tickets. You are person 1001, you are talking to the guy in front of you and he says "I really don't want to see this show, I have to work that night. But I want the poster from last nights show. So Im gonna buy these tickets and trade them ONLY for the poster from last night." You don't have the poster from last night, and just realized you are now NOT getting tickets because the guy in front of you is buying them to trade.
Now does it matter?0 -

I got 1st edition from the show today and it looks amazing.
I have to say at first I wasn't so excited but now when you see it in person it just blows your mind, details, colors...the size is huge.
Really happy I didn't had to go thru Maxx sale to get it...don't mind for the s/n copy and I saved at least 200$
I hope you guys that got refund get another chance with 10c.CAN'T KEEP CRAZY MARY IN MY TREE NO WAY NOT FOR YOU. ALL THOSE YESTERDAY JEREMY is ALONE, SAD with RATS & BUGS it's HARD TO IMAGINE a JEREMY a BETTER MAN.

First of all, I collect posters. So don't think I don't care about the posters. I had this poster in my cart, and was going to buy it, when I saw they were charging $14 to ship on top of being $125, I declined because $139 would buy me 15 refill sheets for my poster case, or it would pay to get one of them framed.
That's fine if the guy in front of me wants to trade the tix for the poster...maybe I can find someone who has it and I will trade them something I already have for the poster to trade him for the tickets to the show.
Yeah, it's fair.
What's NOT fair, is someone who goes to a show (just to buy posters), buys 20 posters and then goes to ebay to sell them for $300 each.
There were a LOT of things that I wanted and missed out on, shoes, backpack, posters...it's ok, I can live without. Several people have blessed me with very generous PJ gifts, and I am eternally grateful. Things have a way of working out.The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I would be mad at my unfortunate luck, and I would ultimately be mad at myself. He obviously wanted that poster more because he got in line for trade-bait tickets before me. Also, it doesn't matter to me because he got screwed the previous night by not getting his poster. Maybe there was someone in front of him getting the poster just to trade it. Again, he should only be angry at his unfortunate luck.
What it boils down to is he got screwed, now he is looking out for himself. AND, when he does trade those tickets for the poster, two people get want they want. Yeah it might have screwed me over, but nothing stops me from playing the game that will always be played. I choose to not be angry about it because I know scenarios like you stated will always happen. I have been screwed out on s/n print sales before, and I choose not to get mad at people who bought it just to trade because I can just buy the next print that comes along and trade for the one I missed.
I see what you are saying, I just choose to look at it from another perspective.0 -

Just please don't go buy one on eBay right away. This is when prices will be the highest...just be patient, wait for the 10c to saturate the market a bit with their sale, let the dust settle, and I don't think you'll end up paying that much more than those who scored yesterday. When I saw McFarlane was doing the Copenhagen show and being a Spawn fan since issue 9, I was disappointed as the four posters I did buy were the worst of the eurotour (imo). The fiasco of yesterdays online sale with their server being hacked, before they migrated to another and selling out, I was informed in 35 seconds, just made the whole 150 minutes I tried, such a sad frustrating way to spend an evening.
Then some appear on ebay at $300 plus before they even have them. Only greed benefits from a limited signed edition when it would be easier if they just printed more to at least appease the true fans.Berlin 30/06/10, Amsterdam 26/06/12, Amsterdam 27/06/12, Berlin 4/07/12, Berlin 5/07/12 Brooklyn NYC 18/10/13, Brooklyn NYC 19/10/13, Philadelphia 21/10/13, Philadelphia 22/10/13, Amsterdam 16/06/14, Amsterdam 17/06/14, Vienna 25/06/14, Berlin 26/06/14, Amsterdam 12/06/18, Amsterdam 13/06/18, London 18/06/18, Prague 01/07/18, Berlin 05/07/18, Barcelona 10/07/18, Berlin 21/06/22, Zurich 23/06/22, Copenhagen 5/07/22, Budapest 12/07/22, Amsterdam 25/07/220 -

I hope you guys that got refund get another chance with 10c.. It looks astonishing  . I'm more into boats than comics & since I disliked all the posters from the shows (Amsterdam 1,2 Prague & Berlin 1,2) I attended, I wound up ordering the Isle Of Wight poster to remind me of the trip
.
So, What you Giving ?........ (Thanks Speedy, Alesek, & Arq+friends)

I suggest you step out on your Porch.

I'm just bummed because this is the SECOND time on this tour that I've tried for a s/n only to lose out to the goddamn flippers. I refuse to pay more than face value because if I do that then I am only feeding the evil empire and encouraging further flipping.
I understand the position of the people that bought this poster to trade, but I also see the position of those of us who badly wanted one to hang in our home and got screwed by the site(s).
That said...the people who bought them to trade, what are you looking for in exchange??"Rock and roll is something that can't be quantified, sometimes it's not even something you hear, but FEEL!" - Bob Lefsetz0 -

I couldn't agree with you more. Once the dust settles I see this settling in and holding steady and being a $150-$175 poster.
Just take a look at the history of the the PJ20 Billboard print. Crazy prices at first and then they came down a bit and held steady. You'll see the same thing with this print...but I don't see it being as valuable as the billboard print.
