Hmmm 4 Non Americans and 1 American refunded. Hmmmmmmmmmm
:fp:
Make that 5 non americans, I had one in my cart almost instantly took so long to check out, kinda sucks ass, but oh well, what do you do??
I hate to blow your guys theories but what were the refunded people's timestamps?
I have a feeling it was because you didn't get your order in on time... Not because of your country of origin.
Trust me, I feel your pain.
That Soto drop yesterday crushed me.

12:05:57 PDT I know friends that had timestamps of around 10 minutes after that and they were confirmed.

Where do I get my time stamp from?? I can tell you when I got my e-mail from paypal. I had the poster in my cart almost immediately but was in F5 hell trying to check out. Plus the site wouldn't accept my credit card, and NO there is nothing wrong with the card. I pay my bills.
I got the e-mail at 3:13pm (aka 12:13 pacific)

I don't know a whole lot about Maxx but I do know he felt terrible about the Billboard debacle and ended up sending out a bunch of his AP's to people that should have been refunded. That doesn't come across to me as shady. I am not sure how you know someone is confirmed unless you've actually seen that they didn't receive a refund. Again, I feel for ya.

i'd say confirmation email, no refund and updated info on paypal is pretty solid. also he might be a good guy but for this to happen on 2 seperate prints is pretty crappy for people

I just want to put this out there. I don't think there was any malicious intent in this onsale. I'm sure he feels really bad about this. I'm sure the American to non-american refund ratio is just a coincidence.
I'm just sad that they learned NOTHING from the PJ20 onsale. I don't think I will ever order from them again. They've oversold TWICE now and unless they are actually going to repair the flaws in their system then I don't want to put myself through this again. BTW the exchange rate from Canadian to American is higher than from American to Canadian so I am likely out a few bucks on this debacle. Not a big deal as $2 or $3 won't make or break me. Just not impressed at the moment is all.

not only that but we have to wait for the money to come back into our paypal account and then wait for the transfer to be done which is about a week and unless you are at the minimum, we have to pay the transfer fee also
Is there seriously no one out there who's site can handle a Pearl Jam related release/ticket sale??? :fp:
Dude, site crashes happen. High demand causes tons of traffic. Server can only hold so much traffic. These companies are not owned by billionaires...it costs a lot of money to pay for servers to hold such a capacity.

I hear you there and again no hard feelings towards Maxx. I think the main frustration is the overselling - especially with this being the second time his site has done that with a PJ onsale.

Spawn.com sold out in 35 seconds!
After they spent 2+ hours beefing up their system.
He has a TON of scratch, and it still took them multiple hours to fix their site.
Three of the last five non-PJ (or Spawn ) related prints I have purchased have had oversell.
Lot's of artists don't limit the number of prints sold as a way to prevent "cart-hoarding".
Just saying.
Ya got me there... :?
I'm not on FB.
I was just trying to help curb your frustration.
I hope I didn't accidentally add to it.
My fingers are crossed that it is indeed open to my northern neighbors.

I tried for the Chewbacca Queen and got shut out too. :( That won't be on 10C for sure.
I considered going for the Ames/Klaussen but $200 was a bit much for a posted I liked but didn't LOVE.
Ames is apparently running a facebook contest. If you "like" them, you could win one of the Queen variants.
Is it open to Canadians??
