    I agree with both of you. It just blows my mind how much professional athletes are paid (and I'm not going to say they aren't worth it becasue they are entertainers and whatever the market bears I believe they should be paid) but to say stuff like this publicly is such a no no. Is he really looking for sympathy from the genral public or something?

    My wife recently called to cancel HBO and we ended up with showtime/HBO for free. I don't watch many shows, but I have checked out a few shows and I am impressed (dexter and homeland). Their docs I have seen are solid too. I'm looking forward to the series on the marlins. I'm a showtime fan. When this deal we got runs out I will most likely be converting from HBO (which pretty much sucks outside of Hard Knocks, the 4 episode NHL show, and Curb) to Showtime.

    Just kind of clicked with me. If MLB really wants to sell the All Star game as being important by letting it determine home field advantage for the World Series, why are they letting a retired manager manage in the game? Just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. :?

    Thought about this right when it was announced. There are many problems with the ASG.

    Showtime is definitely moving up there with HBO. This Marlins show should be great. I watched the one on Showtime last year w/ the SF Giants. It didn't get much publicity, but it was very good.
