Why should Ed care about the 1000th show? He should really wait to celebrate a nice big round number better than 1000! Might I suggest 1024? 8-)

    Love xkcd. Well played.

That's one of the main reason why I love the strip -- simple yet hilarious. I mean, he manages to evoke emotion with stickfigures!

I counted all the shows listed on tour section. There is 875 of them.

If this is the case, they should play the 1,000th show sometime in 2023 or so.

    That's far too long. :(

If only next tour & the following tour after they can pull 72 shows each year (like their Binaural & Riot Act tours). hmm ...

Oh believe me, I am praying they get back to full tours like 00,03,and 06. However based on the last 6 years, it's not looking too good. In 3 years, 08, 09, and 10 they played less than 70 shows. :(
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

I'm thinking that if EV said in public that the last show was #999, regardless if he's right or wrong, Stockholm WILL be considered #1000 & ppl will treat it as such
