Billy Corgan not a big fan of Eddie Vedder

Says he's not a big fan of his, but respects him for being genuine over his imitators. Corgan's kind of funny, he clearly loves the Grunge era and misses it, yet takes all of these little subtle potshots at his contemporaries. It's like, make up your mind.

Billy Corgan is a bitter man with a huge ego.
I love Billy, he's a trier who believes he can still play it big and to be fair the new album is a surprise albeit not perfect but he still has talent in there. His opinion on Ed or anyone else doesn't matter, Ed could say Billy is a complete twat which would be true but it wouldn't change my opinion about the greatness of one of the 90's best songwriters and guitarists.
Dublin 02 Arena - 22/6/10. Belfast Odyssey Arena - 23/6/10. London Hyde Park - 25/6/10. Berlin Wuhlheide - 30/6/10.

amen
Didn't he also make several appearances on some pro wrestling circuit? :fp:
People love to pull this crap out and create celebrity feuds. Billy is extremely talented but Ed's just...better.
Take this with a grain of salt. The guy who spouts an opinion about Eddie Vedder is also the guy who said on the Stern show last week that Jessica Simpson was a smart girl. :fp:
+1 dude. Its like everyone is 10 years old and its the he says/she says bullshit. People should form their own opinions. Ed's great but I'm not gonna hang on every word he says and if someone says "Pearl Jam are shit" start hating that person.

saw them live few years back (2007 ?) ... was terrible ... wall of noise to be honest ... but recently they sound pretty fresh to me ...
My dislike of Billy Corgan has nothing to do with whether or not he likes Pearl Jam or any other kind of jam for that matter. To me, Smashing Pumpkins has a decent album or 2, and a few decent songs spattered across the rest of their records, but I've never really cared much for or about them. At times Billy's voice sounds like a dying goat, he hasn't written a decent song in 10 years, and he seems to be stomping his feet like a 12 year old lately just trying to get someone to pay attention to him. He's like the Axl Rose of alt rock.
+1 !!
Gish was a good album...mot much since 1995 onwards that caught my attention... And saw them in Feb 2008 and it was truly dreadful...One of only 2 gigs I have left early... As a Valentine's Night Out for me and the missus it was memorable...Heard Oceana was a return to form...Heard that a few times over the last 15 Years... I don't care whether he's a nob or not... He just doesn't write particularly good songs in my opinion... Which is a shame given the early promise...
Tru dat brother
