    Having passed the 200 replies milestone now and only two days from the shows I have made a final desperate plea with a copy and paste of page 1 of this highly worthy thread to Kat, Sea, Rubysdad and Kelly Curtis and a short message asking if this can be passed on to someone in the PJ hierarchy for consideration. Keeping fingers crossed in the build up.... ;) This time please... :D

    At this late stage alas it's looking unlikely he'll make it - but he will most definitely be there in spirit! However, can't wait to play him the bootleg if this gets pulled off!!! :D

    Well guys, for the second time it didn't happen. Can't help but feel a little gutted. :(

    Although the Manchester gigs were so awesome - all I have to do is think of them and a huge grin spreads across my face! :D

    The most important thing has been the good wishes and positive vibes felt from everyone who has supported this. Thank you all so much - you've all been immense and I appreciate it more than you'll know!! :clap::clap::clap: :thumbup:

    As things stand I don't think I'll resurrect it for the 3rd time when they come back to the UK - although I may be tempted to change my mind if/when they do come back.

    So for now I'll put this one to bed and once again, thank you all so much for your support!!!

    And it goes without saying - he's still fighting the good fight..... :D

    Quick update. Unfortunately, received some bad news a few days ago. After having a couple of infections and therefore having to hold off on chemo for a while, the latest scans show significant tumour growth. As a result the treatment/chemo won't be given from this point.

    Please keep him in your thoughts and hope he is relatively pain free for as long possible!

    By the way, I would love to get something to him from the band - a card, signed item, anything really. Has anyone any experience of doing this and what would be the best way to go about it??

    So sad to hear about your friend. Besides PJ, does he have any other favorite bands?

    A gig photographer whom the wife and I know from the L.A. scene is in a similar situation, and lately, he hasn't been able to attend any gigs. Even while he was going thru treatment, he'd shoot 4 or 5 shows per. week.

    Sorry to hear this, Teresa :( Hope he can remain relatively pain free for as long as possible too.

    I'm not sure how people get signed stuff by the band, I think it's often by luck that someone happens to come across a thread on the forum or an article in the news that strikes a chord with them. Good luck.

    Joe, he has many, many favourite bands! He lives for his music! Let's see, Kiss is a big favourite, as are The Wildhearts, Foo Fighters, Bad Religion, Qotsa, Goo Goo Dolls, Afghan Whigs, Fu Manchu, Monster Magnet, At The Drive-In, Mars Volta, Black Crowes, Kyuss, Mark Lanegan, Masters of Reality, Metallica, there are so many I've probably missed a few!! :)

    He got me into so many good bands!! :D
