So who's still coming down from that?!
What a performance, from the Even Flow intro to the last bars of Alive as Ed danced with Corinne Bailey-Rae...

Thought the interview was interesting - esp as I'd been telling my missus about the first time I saw them on TV here, on the Late Show in 1991 - and then they showed it!

Ed's face was a picture. Dignity, eh? Still trying to keep hold of mine...

Shame there was no Marker in the Sand, but at least they played Severed Hand. Plus the Letterman extra session has Marker...

Wel, all I can say is roll on the announcement of more dates around the UK... come back boys, we'll be out in droves!

And at the end of the season (or December or so) they are all repeated, so we'll get this one more time :)
We were so stupid to fall asleep (not me but I thought it was still early and that my bf would call me when it was time) so we missed the first song! I'm glad people recorded it so we can catch up later!
The other two songs and the interview were great :)

    groetjes,
Mirella :) (from the Netherlands but the BBC is on tv here as well)

the intro to the show (when the cameras panning around the room) was all the groups playing the riff to "why go"

    was pretty cool! :)

though i did really enjoy it, i through the band seemed a lil restrained eps. Ed he was singing more conciously rather than passionatly . i guess without a real crows energy to work off it was hard. it made me think of the evenflow vid and Ed saying " this is not a tv show, its a rock concert"

saw the guys who posted b4 standing next to Mike they did a great job of getting the band going :)

so it wasn't just me that thought that.

had someone on the porch forum telling me it was the best version of Alive ever and that I must be mad to think they shouldn't of given in to Jools request and played it.

Performance on the Letterman webcast is far better. Not sure whether it was the lack of real PJ fans in the studio that made them appear less into it. But I agree that they seemed pretty held back during it.

Still good mind you, but not amazing. Mike still class on his solo in alive mind. brought back the Astoria memories!!

Did anyone else think that they cut out some of the solo in "Alive"? There seemed to be a real noticable jump from when Mike first starts his solo and then to just before when he starts playing behind his head. I thought it was a really bad cut, but no one here seems to have noticed it, so was it just me then?

Nah..I noticed it too. I thought they were about to wrap up the song at that point and was alarmingly close to throwing something at the telly!

i havent seen the Letterman stuff yet. but just comparing Alive to Astoria ;) , yeah it didnt have the same energy ed dancing around was like he was looking for something to do bcos he wasnt comfortable just jamming out and swinging his mic as he normaly would.
it must have been hard to play 1 song then stand around then another song no chance to get into it. i still thought they were great it was intresting seeing them put in a defferent situation and how they handle it.
They were the only ppl there putting out any passion or life or energy though all the other stuff was dead on its feet.
the interview was ok, i see the book bit was cut ! lol good.

i did notice the funny cut on Alive ! or something puzzled me.
