    I keep seeing adverts for the IOW festival on sky arts 1. as if they're covering it. anybody any sort of idea what coverage there will be. ?

    for example last year ( i think) the whole foo fighters set was broadcast on bbc from t-in the park.
    would be good if it was like that. - doubt it though

    If you/your son do still want GA, try going to the front via the sides - Stone side. It's quieter there. Depends on your son's size too.     Yeah, I certainly didn't want to say a straight 'no don't do GA', but just to highlight some of the possibilities.
    The sides are quieter. I don't know these venues, maybe someone who does can let you know what the stage set up/venue set up is like which might help you....but I'm sure there will be some form of a queue.

    I know I'm late to the party on this one and haven't read everything so didn't know if this has been covered but are you sure a 9 year old would be allowed in GA. I know most UK venues you have to be 14 to be allowed into GA because of being able to stand your ground at the front of the crowds pushing etc.
    So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?
