Jack Irons Live With PJ

I have listened to a few PJ Boots from 95-96 when Jack was drumming - Granted, not that many as I like my boots to have as good as possible sound quality. So Melbourne (95) and Berlin (96) I have listened to.
I have got to say - Matt Cameron is twice the drummer - Certainly in a concert! Irons struggles to keep the rhythm at times and doesn't drive the songs on like Cameron does.
This is not a slate on Jack - My favourite PJ album is No Code, and I love Yield too. Infact I think Cameron sounds worse than Jack on the albums he's drummed on in many ways...But that could be that I like the songs less and production issues
What are others opinions?

Love that lazy groove.
Matt's way too technical for Pearl Jam. :nono:

i do like both Jack and Matt with PJ. I think Matt has been great but live on songs like 'in my tree' or 'given to fly' Jack's drumming was better to me than Matt's drumming. Those songs just fit so well with Jack's style. I think Jack's anxiety disorder contributed to his inconsistency during the Yield tour but when I saw PJ that tour I thought he was just fantastic.
I think Matt has really fit in well with the band and I have absolutely no complaints; he's taken those no code and yield songs and put his own spin on them and he's amazing on the stuff recorded since.
Lazy groove......very well put.
Matt is soooooo much better in Soundgarden it's not even funny.
Not sure how Jack would adjust to the current tempo of PJ? Maybe he would force them to slow down.
I love Pearl Jam regardless of the drummer situation, but I have to agree with this. I was watching SVT the other day and I just couldn't help but think about how much I'd have loved to have seen Jack with PJ live. I've seen Matt with SG twice and he's a different kind of beast with that band.
In general, I think Pearl Jam has been very fortunate to have had excellent drummers throughout they're career.
