Which are the best concerts you've ever attended fun-wise, sound-wise, weather-wise, pre or after party-wise, company-wise and song requests-wise Pearl Jam or non PJ related? Mine would be: 1) Pearl Jam (Athens, GR 2006) / 2) The Waterboys (Athens, GR 2007) / 3) Manu Chao (Athens, GR 2008) / 4) Orishas (Athens, GR 2008) / 5) Mudhoney (London, UK 2010) / 6) The National (London, UK 2010) / 7) Fistful Of Mercy (London, UK 2010) / 8) Gogol Bordello (London, UK 2010) / 9) Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan (London, UK 2011) / 10) The Twilight Singers (London, UK 2011) / 11) The Avett Brothers (London, UK 2011) / 12) Madeleine Peyroux (London, UK 2011) / 13) Esperanza Spalding (London, UK 2011) / 14) Liam Finn (London, UK 2011) and 15) Sivert Hoyem (Athens, GR 2011)

15 out of 27. Not bad at all. :) My first concert of 2012 and my 28th in total would be Mark Lanegan in Athens, GR on April 5th 2012. :D

Fun wise was Alpine PJ20, but sound wise was House of Blues Orlando 03'. Quite possible the best show I have ever been to. To see them at such a small venue. Tickets weren't for sale. You had to be on some list or win tickets from the radio station. I had tickets for West Palm (friday), and Tampa (Sunday).

So when we arrived in Orlando, late, it was raining slightly and everyone was running towards the doors. I holler out at the top of my lungs.....WHO'S GOT ANY TICKETS.

One girl turns to me while she was running and says hurry up...I chase after her and she says, "I have one extra". I said how much...she says "$60", I say how bout 40...i need the other 20 for beer. She agrees, and the money/ticket exchange happened as we all were running.

    It was epic.

9.28.1996 - Randall's Island NYC. "Black" in the rain. John Popper sets "Even Flow" on fire with his harmonica.
7.14.2003 - Holmdel NJ. The ascending album setlist, cover of Springsteen's "Growin' Up," Corin Tucker sings "Hunger Strike", and with the casual fans heading for the exits after a 3 song Sleater-Kinney chorus encore, the boys emerge for "Yellow Ledbetter" announcing they'd "Get to Mexico on their own time."
9.30.2005 Atlantic City NJ - Show at the Borgata with only 3000 people. 'Nuff said. (Side note - My friend was bummed since posters sold out, until I suggested he buy the display model. We win.)
6.1 & 6.3 2006 - East Rutherford NJ - "Footsteps" night one. Epic "Black" night two.
6.24 & 6.25 2008 Madison Square Garden - The "we have no album out but just want to go on tour" tour. Fun all around. Ace Freahly on guitar for "Black Diamond" night two with Matt Cameron doing "some serious vocals." C.J. Ramone plays bass on "I Believe in Miracles" both nights. I call "Release" as the opener night two, thus winning the traditional "guess the opener, get a drink" bet with my usual suspects.
10.30.2009 - The Philly Spectrum - Got tix for this show when they only had two dates planned, thinking this would be the last show at the historic venue. Originally pissed when the added Halloween. BUT, if you bought the box set, and you have a head on your shoulders, THIS WAS HANDS DOWN NO CONTEST THE BEST OF THE SPECTRUM SHOWS. "Parting Ways" with strings. I hear "Breath" for the first time. Amazing rendition of "Present Tense." Proud to be a part of the crowd that "building deserved."
5.21.2010 - Madison Square Garden - MAGICAL. My sister and I argue about "Hunger Strike" at the bar before the show, as I insist (correctly) she's never seen it live. When the opening chords start, we high five and hug. I once again call the opener ("Cordoruy"), winning drinks again. "Not For You" and "Do the Evolution" are particularly incendiary this evening. Get yourself the bootleg and embark on the 15 minute "Better Man/Black" emotional roller coaster. IF YOU WERE AT THIS CONCERT, YOU PRETTY MUCH SHOOK HANDS WITH A JESUS/BUDDHA HYBRID.
    ...can't wait 'til next time...

Gonna try to keep this as brief as possible but I can't promise anything:

Best PJ related shows I've been to: MSG 2 in 2010, Philly 3 in 09 are probably my #1 and #2, but Philly 4, MSG 1 in 08 and the eV shows were all still amazing.

    Best non PJ shows:

My Morning Jacket in SF this past December. What a band, truly amazing live.

Arcade Fire at MSG- was up against the rail and these guys are amazing too.

Gov't Mule on New Years Eve in 2008 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Check out that setlist if you want your mind blown-http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/govt-mule/2008/hammerstein-ballroom-new-york-ny-33d5b045.html
and Warren Haynes is a god.

Just saw The Zac Brown Band and they are amazing musicians and if you like good music you should like them. Not just for country fans (although it probably wouldn't hurt to be one to like them haha)

The Allman Brothers Band always puts on an amazing show too (seen them upwards of 6 times).

The Bridge School Benefit shows these past two years have been awesome (seeing PJ, Dave Matthews w/ Tim, Arcade Fire, Neil, tons of others)

It always comes back to PJ for me though, no other band/fan base does it as well as Pearl Jam does honestly. Looking forward to my next show (hopefully sometime soon).
08 -MSG I.eV Newark.Stone in BK. 09 -Spectrum II,III,IV. 10- Prudential Center.MSG I,II. Bridge School Benefit Nights I, II. 11- eV NY I, II. Bridge School Benefit Night II (eV solo). 12- Made in America Festival. 13- Oakland. 14- Bridge School Benefit Nights I, II. 17- eV Ohana. 18- Seattle I, II. 21- SHN. 22- ev & Earthlings Beacon, MSG, Camden. 23- eV & Earthlings Ohana. 24 - MSG I, II

Rage Against The Machine in Detroit during the 'Battle Of Los Angeles' tour.
If you were there, you know what I mean. It was bananas on the floor!

The Cure at Curiosa (spelling?) in Toronto.

PJ in Toronto 2009. I was front row.

Korn at Woodstock 99' along with Rage.

David Gilmour at Massey Hall in Toronto

TOOL at the first Coachella in 99'

Upcoming: Jack White in Amsterdam should be cool. I'm also thinking PJ in the Prague is going to have a unique feel & the two Berlin shows will be epic!

Wow, you got lucky there. If I had an extra ticket for a sold out PJ show at a club and asked for $60 and the other person wanted to negotiate, I would be moving on to the next buyer.

Soundgarden - Toronto (7/02/2011). Great way to start off their Reunion Tour. Kick-ass show from start to finish! The crowd was standing the entire show, and it was so loud my ears were ringing for days after. Best part was because the show was at Molson Ampitheatre in Toronto which is outdoors, there was a big thunderstorm mid show. The band stopped and acknowledged it for a minute, then kept playing heavy. Such am epic show!
