Alpine-1992... to young and didn't know anyone going at the time.

Chicago-1995... this one really hurts. Went to the Milwaukee show two days before but not the Soldier Field show. Pain... Still in pain on this one. Such an amazing show. Probably the best Chicago Pearl Jam show ever! Hard to beat.
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

I've upgraded a few times, but that doesn't count.

I almost missed the Vancouver 05 show when my truck's engine threw a piston rod while going over the mountain pass in North Cascades. I used some mountain water to cool the engine down, was able to baby it over the pass, and luckily it was literally all downhill to Mt. Vernon where I was able to rent a car. I missed the Supersuckers and was in my seat for only a few minutes before Release started.

The next day I decided to try to drive my truck back to Seattle with a friend following in the rental car. I only made it two miles before the engine disintegrated and started throwing debris all over the road. I pulled the truck over, got out and noticed a huge billboard with an 1-800 number to donate your car. I called and told them to pick it up in front of their sign. :D

I still have the broken piston rod as a memento.

What a nice, painful thread you've started!

Toledo 1996... Ten Club ticket problem. They didnt have enough tickets so we didnt get them. We were still near Toledo anyway because my brother was in school near there, and we found out the next day the TC had extra tickets for anyone who showed up after getting shut out. PAINFUL!

Grand Rapids 2004... We went to Toledo and were going to do MI and go home, but we had to be somewhere the day after so I was told Toledo would have to be it. And in my opinion, the MI show was one of the best VFC shows. Wah wah!

I just remembered I missed the Sacramento '98 show .... but I didn't know I had tickets until afterwards. My buddy scored some tickets at the last minute (front row :-x :( ) but couldn't find me.

Ahh, the days before cell phones .....

I already had tickets to both MSG shows for later in the week, and couldn't take off work for the Tuesday show. I should have just manned up and gone and then slept in work the next day  :x

Man, you should've taken off. You missed the best show, out of those 3> :D

I've used every ticket for a show i've had.

    PJ20

whats my prize for the best PJ concert fail

i didn't go cause my buddy's mother had a major stroke a few months before it and cause of the tropical storm the week of PJ20. i was without power for 5 days and just felt shitty that whole week leading up to PJ20. power came back on thursday and planned everything that day. woke up friday morning for my flight and collapsed a few times and felt dizzy on the way to the bathroom to shower. guess the stress of doing everything last minute got to me. i was only gonna go cause it woulda been a cool road trip with my "bro".

But gutted to miss the O2 London show in 09. I had been made redundant at the time and could only afford Manchester the night before.

Had a run of bad luck from like '98-'05 where I would have something come up every time they'd come though whatever town I was living in... It was almost comical how many times I missed them

    Recent regrettable misses.

Never had tickets, but I still can't believe I didn't go see the Pearl Jam/Red Hot Chili Peppers/Smashing Pumpkins show while I was in school. Unfortunately, it took me another year to become the Pearl Jam fanatic I am today.
