He just announced his tour and similar to his past tours, he is mostly playing mostly beach towns so he can surf. But he is also playing Jonathan Edwards Winery in North Stonington, CT. The building looks cool (from the website)as it basically looks like a an old Colonial home and the show is outside on the vineyard grounds. The show is also BYOFC (Bring Your Own Folding Chair). As anyone been to this winery?

Not familiar with the venue you're talking about, but Donavon F is a great live act. I've seen him a couple of times and he's a lot of fun."Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them." - Thoreau

Yeah he puts on a great show. This will be my fifth time seeing him. I just learned he is playing the Beachcomber in Wellfleet and I am very pleased.Springfield 4/6/94, Boston 4/6/94, Hartford 10/2/96, New York 9/11/98, Hartford 9/13/98, Mansfield 8/30/00, Boston 9/28/04, Reading 10/1/04, Quebec City 9/20/05, Boston 5/24/06, Hartford 5/13/06, New York 6/25/08, Hartford 6/27/08 Philadelphia 10/31/09, Hartford 10/15/10,

I met Donavon after his set at Austin City Limits in 2004. He played early in the afternoon on a very small stage so we got to stand right up against the stage. After his set - which included a couple of songs with him, Jack Johnson, and G Love - he came and sat and the front of the stage and signed autographs/talked to folks. Seemed like a really easy going guy."Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them." - Thoreau

I recently say him at the Paradise. He hung out in the crowd for the opening act and posed for photos and signed autographs. I asked him about certain east coast venues and he gave me a direct answer on which ones he was playing. I like when musicians adhere to a small fan base as they are so much more approachable. I was able to watch the entire soundcheck as he allowed people in and had no security. When I saw him in Dewey Beach, his van was right next to the Bottle & Cork with a bunch of bathing suits hanging from the mirrors as he must have been surfing earlier in the day. Plus he named his kids Ozzy and Hendrix which makes him even cooler.Springfield 4/6/94, Boston 4/6/94, Hartford 10/2/96, New York 9/11/98, Hartford 9/13/98, Mansfield 8/30/00, Boston 9/28/04, Reading 10/1/04, Quebec City 9/20/05, Boston 5/24/06, Hartford 5/13/06, New York 6/25/08, Hartford 6/27/08 Philadelphia 10/31/09, Hartford 10/15/10,
