Huh. I just re-watched this film recently on HBO...came upon it right as it was beginning. Love when that happens!

Much as I dug the whole shebang, I could not stand that chick as soon as she opened her mouth.

    What's with the cutesy-wutesy-I'm-really-a-grown-woman-but-gonna-act-and-speak-like-a-little-girl bullshit?

And yeah, the watch. It was right THERE.

    Dumbass.

I had it on VHS and watched it every day. I lent it to a coworker because he said I could borrow his Woodstock '99 video. I never got Woodstock and think it would have been a shitty trade even if we didn't trade back.

I will never forget the feeling I got the first time I saw Pulp Fiction in the theaters. About 20 minutes in, I was in awe, hoping it would never end.

[Jules, Vincent and Jimmie are drinking coffee in Jimmie's kitchen]
Jules: Mmmm! Goddamn, Jimmie! This is some serious gourmet shit! Usually, me and Vince would be happy with some freeze-dried Taster's Choice right, but he springs this serious GOURMET shit on us! What flavor is this?
    Jimmie: Knock it off, Julie.
    Jules: [pause] What?
Jimmie: I don't need you to tell me how fucking good my coffee is, okay? I'm the one who buys it. I know how good it is. When Bonnie goes shopping she buys SHIT. I buy the gourmet expensive stuff because when I drink it I want to taste it. But you know what's on my mind right now? It AIN'T the coffee in my kitchen, it's the dead nigger in my garage.
Jules: Oh, Jimmie, don't even worry about that...
Jimmie: [interupting] No, No, No, No, let me ask you a question. When you came pulling in here, did you notice a sign out in front of my house that said "Dead Nigger Storage"?
Jules: Jimmie, you know I ain't seen no...
Jimmie: [cutting him off again; getting angry] Did you notice a sign out in front of my house that said "Dead Nigger Storage"?
    Jules: [pause] No. I didn't.
Jimmie: You know WHY you didn't see that sign?
    Jules: Why?
Jimmie: 'Cause it ain't there, 'cause storing dead niggers ain't my fucking business, that's why!

all the clocks are set to 4:20 in the movie...

wait...was the watch set to 4:20 too?
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Tarantinos acting is pretty bad in this scene, but it works so well. So memorable because of the dialogue.
