    a part of my childhood just died. there are only three bands that i grew up listening to that have stayed relevant from the time I was an early teen to where I am today in my early thirty's.

    Radiohead
    Beastie Boys.

    Sad news. R.I.P. on my way to work today I will be making a donation to Cancer Care Manitoba in the name of MCA.

    The Beastie Boys are legends and MCA will be truly missed. He was beyond talented. Thank god we have his music...............R.I.P.

    Just saw "Beastie Boys" and "Adam Yauch" trending on Yahoo, and before I even looked at any articles, my heart dropped...I knew what it was going to be. Had it only been "Beastie Boys", it wouldn't have been immediately apparent. I still remember back in middle school when "Licensed to Ill" came out... :(

    I got sick to my stomach when I heard this. Very sad news. The Beastie Boys rock, one of the best acts i've seen live. I've never had so much fun at a concert....

    I felt the same way, this one hurt. The Beastie Boys were one of the most unique and entertaining artists out there, and to me the epitome of the word FUN in music form. MCA will be missed.
